Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I went to the buffet at the Showboat a few years ago. Yech. I've been here the last two years. I can honestly say that everything I had was very good and some things were great. The staff were friendly and sincerely eager to please. The food tasted fresh and memorable. What else can anyone ask for.

Borgata does everything top notch. The buffet is no exception. A real treat to dine here if you like to eat alot. You get to try an eclectic mix of foods and graze like livestock. A Very big plus is in an environment like this kids and picky eaters can truly explore. The Atlantic City buffet experience is dead every other casino but here, if you must go to a buffet this should be the one you pick. Downside to this buffet is the crowds , many of which treat the buffet table like a passing comet and are mesmerized and RUDE. It is also extremely loud in most of the dining area and foyer as you are waiting. Overall it a good value for Adults .

$33.95 for dinner on all days of the week as of July 28, 2015. So I'm from the west coast, and being from there the closest thing to AC that I know is of course Las Vegas so I am inclined to compare the buffets here to the buffets in Las Vegas. Simply put, Borgata buffet doesn't come anywhere near the top Las Vegas buffets (namely Wynn's "The Buffet" and the Cosmopolitan's "Wicked Spoon"). Granted these two Las Vegas buffets cost in the range of $45-50 per person, but there are still plenty of Las Vegas buffets actually CHEAPER than Borgata buffet and offers a far more expansive selection of food. Anyways, rating Borgata on its own merits now... Borgata buffet has several sections to it. First the bads include a rather pathetic looking salad station, a similarly subpar looking soup station, and a laughable chinese food station, The goods include a vast meat selection (comparable to Las Vegas actually!!) with the likes of grilled chicken, sirloin steak, prime rib, apple and beer braised pork belly, bbq pork ribs and chicken wings, and orange pork chops. They also have a seafood section, but it almost entirely consists of hot seafood, and includes deep fried snapper (gigantic thing they pick pieces off of for you), salmon, mahi mahi, clams, mussels, shrimp pasta thing, and I'm sure a couple more I'm forgetting. Clearly this section is also quite thorough, but the quality and flavor is about average, nothing much to rave about. The cold seafood station is borderline horrid. There's the classic shrimp with cocktail sauce, but aside from that they have ceviche (meh), and three sushi options which include california roll, avocado roll, and smoked salmon roll. Just... wow. At a $25 Las Vegas buffet you would easily expect them to serve crab legs or at least a lobster ravioli, but at Borgata buffet! They instead serve sushi here... veeeeeeeeery subpar sushi. Lastly is the dessert station, with some decent offerings such as gelato, cake, cupcakes, cannoli, eclair, cookies, pre-made crepes (these suck though), and a few others. Overall this buffet's food has only one good feature: the meats were really great! Other than that the service is what is expected of a nice hotel, meaning they were courteous, prompt, and deserving of a fair tip. However, if Borgata buffet is any indication of what AC has to offer in terms of food, I sadly have to agree with the crowd mentality that AC is crumbling apart as a top tier tourist destination.

One of our favorite buffets...and our fatasses have been to quite a few. They have a great selection of foods. Things are nice and spread out so you don't feel like it is overcrowded even at its busiest. The food is delicious. We prefer weekend brunch as the selection seems more varied. The décor of the restaurant is nice and bright and calm compared to the loud craziness of the casino floor. Overall, one of our favorite things about Borgata and always on our itinerary when we are there.

After a late breakfast, we stopped here for an early dinner or can I call it a Linner?! You know like brunch, get it.. Ok that was lame. What they had: Chowmein, Fried rice, General tsoa's chicken, spicy eggplant, fish cake & beans, tilapia, flounder, salmon, grits&shrimp, butterfly shrimp, grilled chicken, bbq chicken, ribs, seafood ravioli, pizza, garlic bread, French bread, egg plant rollitini, parmesan fries, onion rings, butterfly shrimp, clams, mussels, fried chicken, Mac& cheese, marshmallow and sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, chicken noodle soup, minestrone, sushi and a pasta station! Yep I think I got most of it Pretty great right!? WRONG!!! We were literally the first ones in the restaurant and everything was cold with the exception of pizza and that was the only thing I liked. Everything tasted blah and cold. The salmon in banana leaf was soo dry I almost felt bad for the poor fish's meaningless death! Dessert, the chocolate mousse had a medicinal taste, I rest my case. Oh I had one of their signature cocktails(what was I thinking!), high roller. It got me neither high nor rolling! Even the alcohol is mediocre! I wasn't expecting vegas here but COME ON! We spent about $80 for 2 and will never do it again. Save your money spend another $50 and have a gourmet meal with a nice glass of wine or spend less than half of that and have a decent sandwich! You have been warned!

I think the service was great at the table. She was very attentive and pleasant. The cod fish was awesome and loved a lot of the food. I did think they lacked a lot of variety. I was hoping for some shrimp and oysters.

I've been coming to this buffet for the past several years. Everytime I arrive in AC, I always make this my first stop. It's the only right thing to do. I've only been here for brunch time, which is $27.95 and it's worth every penny (well if you get more than 1 plate). From made to order omelettes, prime rib, steak and waffles to eggs benedict...you can find it here. The best part is the desserts and gelato!!! It's consistently good each time and the food is fresh. Service is good, not anything special but you really only need them for refills. Lines can be extremely long for Sunday brunch, but they go by pretty quickly. Make this buffet a stop on your AC trip!

Food was fantastic! Also one of the cheaper buffets in Atlantic city. Okay the food in AC is expensive but for what you get at this buffet I did not feel like I got ripped off, great service!

The most impressive buffet in AC. Lot's of options. Their Sunday brunch is delicious! NYC style options. Yes it's pricey but you really get your moneys worth and the quality is above average. Lunch is good as well. 2 carving stations, Chinese food, Italian, pizza, fried chicken, veggies (important), fruit...pretty much everything you can think of. I usually go out of my way when I am in AC to head here for breakfast.

I tried lots of buffets in casinos and I have to say this is the worst. Now we only went for the breakfast, so I can't speak about the lunch or dinner, but just awful. Upon walking in we were greeted by the friendliest cashier who was sweet and just all around wonderful so I hoped the rest of the experience would go as great as that. Nope, not even close. We got on line to go in and waited. And waited. And waited. 30 minutes later, after we saw person after couple after family go in from the Black Label line get seated, we finally got to go in. Now mind you, if the place was full I could have understood, but there were empty tables all over the place, so why the long wait? We get to our table and we are immediately greeted by server A. We order coffee and can finally go to the food. Yay! The buffet is really nothing special at all. Your normal breakfast fare but the food was horrible. We go to the omelet station and encounter yet another wonderfully friendly upbeat person, the cook at the omelet station. He was fast, efficient and had at least 4 orders cooking at once. He also did a little impromptu rendition of "Volare" which I thought was so funny. We get back to the table and I look at my fork and see that a tong is bent straight up (see picture). Really? You actually give that to someone to eat with? Luckily my friend had a second fork (?) so I was all good. Now we need more coffee and regular milk. After 10 minutes, I go looking and now we have server B taking care of our section who was annoyed by the fact of being asked for milk. I'm sorry, but isn't it your job? So sorry I had to make you work. When all was said and done, I ate a couple of pieces of bacon and some of the sausage links and a couple of bites of the omelet. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is one for each of the wonderful people we encountered. Hey Borgata, make your food as good as some of your workers and maybe people will wanna come back.

This place was very disappointing, we had high hopes going in but it was not to be. The food selection is not very good and neither is the quality, the seafood choices are limited, the meat, same thing, there was smattering of Chinese food and pizza that just didn't cut it for us. The desserts were the highlight, usually not very good at buffets in general but "good" here. Even though there isn't much service at a buffet that was even poor, we waited an awfully long time for soda refills and the waitress seemed like she wanted to be elsewhere. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this buffet.

Here are the two big differences between the Borgata Buffet and other casino buffets I've been to: 1. All the servers & staff at the Borgata buffet are friendly and act like they genuinely enjoy serving you. 2. The quality of the food here is really great. I've eaten here a number of times (for breakfast & brunch) and can't recall anything I didn't like. Highlights? The carving stations are awesome -- with really delicious ham, roast beef (brunch), etc. Also, at the Sunday brunch you cna get home made corned beef hash & boneless steaks with your eggs. Both are delicious and much better than you'd expect at a typical buffet. Even the coffee here is strong, hot & high quality.

I was going to give this a 2 but since I didn't try the dinner buffet yet I'll give it a 3. So after a long night at murmur the strugglebus with me driving it went to this lunch buffet. The food was meh. I mean I was hungover so anything should have tasted good but the chicken was dry and the food did not look fresh. There was chinese food, mac and cheese, small salad bar. Nothing tasted like anything, maybe it was because I was hungover. I'm not sure but usually when I'm hungover everything greasy tastes good. I think my main problem was that there was not much selection and what was there was not fresh, I might be back for the dinner buffet if I find myself back at mur mur again.

HUGE SELECTION you better wear sweatpants literally bc I had to unbutton my pants at the table. I was so stuffed and wobbled out the food is AMAZING its unlike any other buffet. It shouldn't even be called a buffet bc buffets get a bad rep. Borgata did an amazing job with this beautiful dining areas and quality food. You're gonna pay for it but you will not leave hungry. It's impossible. 100 stars if possible.

Oh how I love buffets! I'm a bit of an aficionado when it comes to buffets. Borgata's is the best buffet in AC. I've been for brunch and dinner multiple times and it's delicious. The breakfast buffet is a little pricey for what you will probably eat but if you go after bug ticket items at dinner (like prime rib), it's well worth the cost. And you can use your comps here to pay for the buffet! A few things to not miss as buffets can be overwhelming: Any of their chef cut meats that are cut to order Smoked salmon Gelato (which you can take to go) Coconut macarons Also tea and soft drinks are included and their tea is mighty leaf (not cheap stuff). Enjoy, go wild!

Just stay away. Unpleasant staff. No smiles here. Food is 2 stars but the service is horrible.

  • Steven E.

The food is fine but not extraordinary. I have two big complaints. They do not take reservations so you wait in line. That is rude and disrespectful to the customers. The insult is worse because we peons in the line have to watch the special black card holders cut in front of us. At $31 per person you could receive lovely sit down service at many fine restaurants that respect the customer's time. My dining companion insisted that the buffet was worth the one hour wait. It simply is not. The screaming babies only made the experience worse.

The Borgata buffet is a MUST stop when in Atlantic City. The price seems a bit steep at first ($30), but the food that diners are given in return more than compensates for the cost. They have a lot of really delicious seafood, including basic sushi rolls (California and tempura shrimp when I was there), clams, mussels, shrimp, cod, and salmon. There's also a nice selection of gourmet pizzas, cut meats, entree-style dishes, a plentiful salad bar, and an expansive dessert counter. Highlights include a mini gelato bar, perfectly-cooked steak, and fantastic, friendly service. I eat in small increments, so buffets are usually a waste of money for me. The quality of the products, expert preparation, and diversity of selection kept luring me back up to the line for multiple plates and second helpings. For once, I actually felt like I got my money's worth of food If you are looking for a casino buffet, the Borgata should definitely make its way to the top of your list!

For $30+ per person with tax and mild tip, this buffet is nothing better than mediocre, which is unfortunate because the Borgata itself is so boss. Even taking into consideration the inflated AC rates and keeping in mind standard buffet expectations (quantity and variety over quality), I still think this costs too much. Sodas and coffee are free/included in the cost, and our waitress actually asked me if I wanted coffee when I got my dessert plate. Thumbs up. There were only three different kinds of sushi (California roll, shrimp tempura and avocado roll) and the macaroni and cheese looked like macaroni cheese soup, couldn't even attempt to try that. The steak was freakishly and surprisingly rare though, which was actually a big bonus in my book for a buffet. They have a custom pasta station, and your gelato is politely scooped for you. The dessert station is pretty large, considering the set up of the space. For people that hate on buffets and complain that this is a buffet, you are morons. This is a buffet, rate it appropriately - as a BUFFET. Or go spend at least three times at much at Bobby Flay's or Old Homestead and stop your whining. I've been here for breakfast/brunch over the summer and for a weeknight dinner in the winter, and I'm not sure which is the better deal. The last time my boyfriend's nickel slots winning paid for brunch, and this time our dinner toll actually cost more than we spent on the winter rate for our standard room. Say WHAT? At $70, no alcoholic beverages included, it's cheaper than eating at every other restaurant in the Borgata though so you win some, you lose some. So it goes in Atlantic City!

I had the dinner at a Sunday evening for $32. Except cocktail shrimp which is very good, nothing is different than lunch. Not worth the money. Added tax and tip, a $40 dinner is way too much to the food selection. As other reviewer said, not recommend their dinner. Cesar's dinner is much better.

We had lunch here on a Tuesday and it was surprisingly not very crowded at all. I did not expect much as usually buffet in casino was not very good. But The Borgata buffet was quite decent. As there was no line when we were there, we just went straight to the front (cashier) and after paying for the buffet, another staff brought us to our table and left us to the waitress in charge of the section. Service was good, our waitress was friendly and prompt in taking away the plates and re-filling of coffee/tea. The place exuded a homely feel even though it was very spacious. There were many types of cuisines available and each cuisine had about 4-6 types of dishes to tempt the diners. Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Seafood, Meat, Salad, Pizza, Dessert.... The food was average to some being better than expected. At least it was not terrible, soaked in grease and being soggy or tough. I did not try everything as there were just too many choices. What I liked was the brussels sprouts which were very nicely done. Crunchy nutty taste, not overcooked or bitter. Another highlight for me was the candied sweet potato which was awesome. The fried chicken was good but nothing fantastic. Roast beef was tender. The mac and cheese was deliciously yummy. There was a wide variety of desserts available. I had the cannoli which was average but the gelato more than made up for it. I would say this is quite a value for money joint if you could eat a lot and love a huge selection of food. Weekday lunch was about $20 or so after tax.

Great quality of ingredients at his buffet- everything is fresh. Do yourself a favor and try the sweet potatoes, pizza, prime rib and the passion berry gelato for dessert. Really one of the best buffets in AC and reasonably priced. The only thing they were missing was crab legs. Check my pictures out for some of the spread.

First time here, large selection of many different types of dishes. 30 dollars per place for dinner, which ends up being a bargain for the amount you get. Everything seemed fresh and full of flavor, and there are plenty of dishes for meat lovers and vegetarians. It was hard to leave room for dessert...but I managed :)

I normally love this place but having gone for breakfast the first time this morning, I was very disappointed. We arrived at 10 am. Breakfast goes from 8-11:15 am. I understand maybe we arrived on the later side but who wants to get up early on a night away. About 20 people online in front of us. We paid and then waited in the line to be seated for another 20 mins, which I really didn't understand as there were several visibly empty tables. To top it off, when we finally got to the front of the line, 10 black card holders arrived and immediately cut us off and were seated right away. Annoying. Adding to my already irritated experience, most of the food was lukewarm or cold as if it had been sitting for a while. When you have that volume of people coming in and out, why not replace the food more efficiently with fresh food or at least ensure it's hot? I don't think I will return for breakfast.

We came to this place for lunch. It was 28$ to get in and I thought that was expensive. But for what they serve the price is great. They had, prime rib, steak, salmon, and more. I thought my disappointment would come from tasting the food and it being horrible. But it wasnt. It was surprisigly good. There were these potatoes that were amazing. They had this lil chicken balls, looked gourmet was delish. I would recommend this place.

Had a b1g1 so went here for lunch. Really not impressed with it. Regrettably the best thing was dessert. The fried snapper was actually rubbery and not edible. The food has gotten worse here after the remodel. We tried everything with no luck. The "macho steak" was super dry and over cooked. Service was great, but sadly did not make up for the lack of food. Will not go here again after this experience.

MEH. Came here with friends because they had comps. They had a black card so our wait wasn't too bad for a Friday evening. It's a buffet. What can you really expect? I would prefer food brought to me and not having tons of people breathe all over it and fight with the old lady and her walker and the rude man that has to grab the spoon before you because he clearly might die if he doesn't eat right this second! phew. The food was ok. I mean, how hard is it to have a buffet. It's food that can be made quickly, in large batches, and kept warm for fairly cheap. The salad bar (which is what I am attracted to most) was fine, hard to reach the back row items if you're any taller than 5 feet. I had the portabella which was tasty, the meatballs which were just OK, I had some fingerling potatoes and carmelized pearl onions that were good. I had the Prime Rib with horseradish from the carving station which was my favorite for sure and also some ribs. Most of the food didn't appeal to me which is rare because I basically eat any and everything all the time. The waiters; however, were VERY friendly and accommodating. We had a party of 6 and had quite a long wait for either two back to back booths or a large table. We ended up with separate tables which was fine. But the waiter taking our drink order was very pleasant without seeming like he was trying too hard. I'm still unsure why the lines were so long as I saw a LOT of open tables when we walked in and when we left and they were not moving people out of the line that quickly. I think the seating needs to be better maintained with ear pieces and such. I'd would definitely try the other restaurants before the buffet next time.

Glutton's paradise! The food was good and the selection was huge. I ate too much and left feeling guilty. The best item, in my opinion, was the Banana Leaf Wrapped Salmon-it was so moist. There is a fair selection of veggies, pasta, meats, desserts. You definitely won't leave hungry and will likely be over-stuffed, unless you exercise some willpower. All in all, not bad for $30.

Buffets at casinos are always of a certain expectation, and this one hits par for the course. The Borgata Buffet offers a pretty decent and varied selection of food, from large meats and seafood to omelettes and noodles. My friends and I had a great time raiding the buffet lines, trying a little bit of everything and going back for seconds when we liked something. Casino buffets are always a good time because, well, you're usually having a good time anyway before and after the meal. The food is good enough to warrant an enjoyable buffet experience, but like most buffets it won't really impress you in any one way. Definitely worth at least a meal if you're staying at the Borgata. If you're expecting it to be like some of the heavy-hitter buffet options in Las Vegas, however, you're not going to be too happy.

  • Kat M.

As a buffet, it wasn't too bad, but paying the price to eat this type of food is a bit disappointing. From what I remember, there were a few dishes that I went back for seconds, compared to Harrah's where I only got crab legs since nothing else was worth putting in my mouth.

    (3)
  • Eddie K.

I had high expectations with this buffet but was really disappointed with the whole experience. The line to pay and wait was long and chaotic. We had a party of seven and they said they don't have tables that large so we had to be split up - unheard of for a casino buffet. The food was not memorable at all - except the prime rib, fried shrimp and gelato. I would skip this buffet and go to Harrah's buffet. It was much better.

  • Marlon T.

This buffet was amazing. It's only one of the two buffets I've been to in Atlantic City (the other being the one at Caesar's), but I want to say that Borgata Buffet is the best in the entire city, based on what Yelp and my friends said. Everything I had was fresh and flavorful. I don't recall anything tasting too bland or straight off an assembly line. Overall, I would say the food was good quality for a buffet and the price was right ($30 for lunch). Highly (and only) buffet I recommend in AC! The Borgata is just a really nice hotel casino that could easily be mistaken for being located in Vegas like if you suddenly woke up and you were at a craps table here, you looked around, and didn't know what city you were in. Too bad it's not directly on the boardwalk.

    (4)
  • Kristen H.

Yes, it's a buffet, but it's awesome! I have been a fan of this buffet since the Borgata opened it's doors. I just visited again after some time and I have to say that it's still delicious. A buffet is a fickle thing, but the Borgata nails it. As other reviewers have said, it isn't cheap, but it's good. The breakfast is about $16/person and offers typical breakfast fare including: an omelette station, waffles, fruit, bacon, sausage, other egg dishes, breads, pastries and danishes, etc......... The food is really good. The Sunday Brunch is more expensive at about $24/person, but there are some dinner options added like a roast beef and ham carving station, pasta dishes, etc. Plus there are additional breakfast options like pancakes, eggs benedict, etc. Overall, if you are in AC and you are hungry for some great breakfast (and I mean HUNGRY)...go to the Borgata! The wait can be a bit intense. Breakfast time on Saturday was slammed, but same time (11am) on Sunday for brunch wasn't bad at all.

This is not my first time going to the buffet so I had memories and expectations based on how awesome it was the first time I went, well maybe I set myself up to be disappointed. The first time I went was maybe 1 to 2 years ago and I just remember crab legs, crab cakes, mussels, oysters, salmon galore. This time there was a ton of vegan dishes, some BBQ, breaded shrimp, and bland tilapia. I took a walk through before I plated anything and all I could think was WTF? The vegan dishes were surprisingly flavorful, the fried chicken was perfect as usual, and the prime rib was tender though it could have used a bit more flavor. Had I known they no longer served the variety of seafood dishes, I would have just eaten at bobby flay's. Oh well, now I know for next time to just save my $$$ and eat elsewhere.

This rating is solely for their brunch option. $30 for a mediocre meal, $30 down the drain. There was a decent selection of foods - waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, lox, salami and other cured meats, fruits, shrimp cocktail, mussels, prime rib, other meats, cooked salmon, mashed potatoes, soups, a salad bar, an omelet bar, and gelato, off the top of my head. Yes, there is a lot, but it's really not worth it considering the quality of food that is offered. I mean, I don't even like buffets (I am a tiny Asian girl who can only eat like a fist sized amount of food in one sitting. Although I do eat meals very often), and I feel that I am always getting ripped off, so maybe take my review with a grain of salt. But I turn my nose up at Borgata Buffet because I would rather take my $30 and spend it on a single dish at another restaurant and get a higher quality meal. Which reminds me - the food here was so-so. The eggs benedict came with a hollandaise sauce that tasted more like pure butter. Some of the meat was incredibly tough to cut, and others (like the prime rib) were bland, even with the jus that came with it. The salami was dried out, and the mashed potatoes didn't come with a normal chicken gravy like I'd prefer, but a red wine gravy or a fruity reduction which was cloying to my taste. Soups were okay - I think I'd actually prefer canned soup though. I mean, I don't mean to nitpick, and I did appreciate the variety, but I'm just trying to get at the fact that the food just wasn't up the quality that I'd like. I have been to better buffets for the same price. In terms of service, the cashiers were a little rude and getting seated was a little confusing. However, once inside, the waitresses were extremely friendly and gladly got us all orange juice, apple juice, water, whatever drinks we wanted. Alcohol is an extra $6 (around) per drink. Avoid, especially for brunch, if you are already not a fan of buffets. If you're not picky about your food, there's no hurt in coming here.

Decent buffet with good breakfast choices. The omelette line was a bit long but made to order. My boyfriend loved his omelette more than I liked the scrambled eggs. Many bread choices and pastries. Not the greatest quality but best bang for your buck for breakfast.

  • Brent P.

I came here for the breakfast buffet. And while the food is pretty good for a buffet it's nothing you should go out of your way for. The service, which theoretically entails all of bringing you something to drink, was horrible. After getting the third degree from the server over why would the hostess put just me at a big booth table, and sarcastically do I think I will need the three other place settings (well good morning to you to!) she gets to asking do I want something to drink. I was enough put off at that point that I'd rather get the old saliva factory to work a little overtime or ring some juice out of a pineapple slice onto my tongue. I was pretty certain the server wouldn't spit straight into my mouth to make this a 100% serving fail. So the server can thank me for the extra one star due to me not spitting in my spit.

Sunday Brunch for $27.95 is endless and offers pretty decent food. Definitely get an omelette- very fluffy and fabulous. I chose the veggie with swiss and egg whites. Make sure to salt/pepper it though as they don't, but possibly the best I've ever had. Lots of dishes available, everything from breakfast (bread/toast, crepes, cereal, grits) stations to desserts to meats (prime rib was tasty!), seafood (salmon- bit dry at the neds, mussels- could've been better, shrimp), etc. Whatever your craving, they will have something to suit you...Busy Sunday meant the food stayed fresh, lots of turnover between plates. Comfort food like risotto, pizza and pastas were a nice touch, although I was not a fan of their soups (manhattan clam chowder probably the saltiest I've ever sampled). Our waitress was very nice, dutifully bringing out many waters, sodas, juices and more upon request. We said thank you's in $$$.

I remember this being better so was a little disappointed for the price. There was a limited selection of prepared sushi rolls - shrimp tempura, avocado, California. They had the usual shrimp cocktail but there was still ice on it so questionable? Moving on they had clams and mussels which were fine. Then the cat area - pizza, breads, pasta etc. they had fried chicken which was bland and salmon Wellington a bit too dry. Prime ribs as ok. They also had grilled skirt steak a bit bland too. Moving onto the Asian area - typical stir fry dishes, soups and salad area. And a limited dessert section. Soft drinks r included but sometimes it's hard getting ur server so there's a bit o wait. And we waited @ 45 min to get seated so I would have opted for a sit down a la carte place over this for more appetizing eats.

Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have been to. Everything appeared fresh and cooked in view... No frozen pancakes here. The glazed ham on the carving station was my favorite.

The Borgata Buffet is a test of endurance in the face of tasty food. We wanted to skip the wait as much as possible, so we arrived at 5:30 pm for a Saturday dinner. We didn't have to wait too long, and were seated by 6 pm. You wait on line, pay for your party, and then wait in a second line to be seated. The buffet is laid out pretty well, and foot traffic was less crazed than in other buffets. There's a section for chilled dishes like cold prepared salads as well as a separate salad bar. There are two dessert stations on either side of the main buffet, and then one long path around the center of the buffet where the hot dishes are placed. They had a huge variety of food, most of it very good to great in quality. Some of the better dishes I encountered: mojo grilled chicken with mango salsa, portobello mushroom ravioli, chicken noodle soup, onion rings, sliced grilled chicken and mango salad, sweet potato casserole. My dining partner said the steak was cooked excellently. Some of the dishes were on the bland or lackluster side (I actually didn't like their cheddar biscuits at all), but nothing was even remotely close to bad. Plus, since the buffet is busy, food never sits out for long and the turnaround is high. Even the fried items like breaded shrimp and battered onion rings stayed super crisp and not greasy. The desserts fall a little short, but I think that's pretty standard at buffets as most of them are prepared elsewhere and brought in, and the desserts overlap at casino buffets (those pudding-filled, fancy-shaped cookie cups are everywhere). The exception was in the gelato (incredible!), the macaroons, and the coconut pudding. Skip the bread pudding and apple dessert, neither had much flavor. The carrot cake was really good. Service was fine, nothing special, but you don't need much attentiveness at a buffet. Plates were cleared pretty quickly and drinks were kept filled. Altogether, I had a really good experience here and would gladly come back!

All Around gross. Not much of a selection to eat from some of the choices are terrible prime rib was ok but they cut you a razor thin slice. Dessert station? are you kidding I think a cafeteria has more and better choices. Do your self a favor and eat elsewhere

I rarely and I mean rarely do Buffets. I mean come on even if it is cheap does not mean one should consume an entire days worth of calories in one sitting. I have been here before, always for breakfast when staying in AC. Its really the only option for breakfast at the Borgata besides room service and Starbucks. We wanted fresh omelets so we came here paid the $17.95pp for omelets, fruit, juice and coffee. The omelets are good but the line for them is loooong. The cook bangs them out quick though without messing it up. I had mine with the works, spinach, mushrooms, onions, tomato, cheese... it was yummy. If you think the world is ending tomorrow and want to die happy come here and enjoy the omelets, various breakfast meats, pastries, fruits, cakes, bagels, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, etc. etc.

Alot of hype for this. Was not too impressed, even though the food is pretty decent, there were no real standouts. I was excited for the salmon Wellington but that didn't turn out too geat, prime rib was eh and my GF said the best thing she had there was the steamed broccoli......yeah. The one thing that really got to me was how rude the chef was at the pasta station. She (and alot of the staff) looked like they were miserable and did not want to be there. She was slamming down the pan and her demeanor was definitely NOT what you expect in a place like Borgata. At least smile when you give me the food, it's almost shocking to see this from a casino of this caliber. If you get sat in the back.....good luck getting your table cleared of food. The service here was on of the worst I've ever experienced. No refills and at one point we had a stack of plates 4 high.... I would not go back again.

I ate at the Borgota Buffet on Sunday night and found the experience to be average. Nothing terrible but nothing outstanding either. I went at 8 PM and there was no wait. Price was over $30 for dinner. There was plenty of different items for all tastes including the prerequisite Asian station. There was a make to order pasta station, pizza, prime rib, salmon Wellington, fried chicken, paella, etc. Also despite what an earlier reviewer stated, there is a salad bar. For the most part all the food was prepared well. The prime rib was good but the fish selections were overcooked. There was no crab legs and the bulk of the seafood selections were either fish or shrimp dishes. The dessert station offered an excellent variety from gelato to cheesecake to apple pie. Overall I had a decent experience. Service was good. Empty plates were removed promptly and drinks refilled quickly. My only gripe is I feel that it is a little overpriced. For $30 I expect more items like crab legs. For what I got I feel that $20 would be a better price point. All in all it was better then your average Chinese buffet and I would revisit in the future.

Pretty cool buffet at the Borgata. Lines to sit down during Labor Day weekend. Place looked luxurious as far as layout and decor. It's a pretty big place. They had plenty of food and catered to everyone. Food included Italian, pizza, Asian, etc. And they also have different dessert options. Service was good and the waitress was attentive in filling our glasses with water and soda as we were running out. And soft drinks were included as well, which is good. Some buffets are an additional charge.

Went for lunch on Saturday bc unfortunately they don't have brunch which was 1st downfall. They managed to mess up Mac and cheese and tator tots. Everything was pretty bland and horrible. Only decent thing was apple pie and probably bc I doused it in caramel sauce. First time I left a buffet not feeling full.

I really don't get what all the fuss is about this buffet. There was a nice variety of seafood but most of it wasn't fabulous. The mussels and clams seemed like a good idea but both were overcooked and lacked enough flavor. I get that it's hard to keep seafood hot without overcooking it. So don't serve it. Shrimp cocktail - typical. A couple different sushi rolls - I had the smoked salmon roll which was good but not out-of-this world. Anything Italian related that I tried was underwhelming. Eggplant parm - bland. The bowtie pasta with pink sauce at the pasta bar - Bland. They served a bread called bruschetta but was not like a bruschetta I've ever had. More like baked bread with rosemary and parmesan cheese baked on top. That was tasty. But it was bread... There was an appetizing- looking pizza marguerite that looked like it would be delicious. Bland. I had 2 bites and put it to the side. Why waste the space in my stomach for mediocre food? Grilled sirloin steak had good flavor and the fingerling potatoes were cooked perfectly and actually salted well. Surprising since so many other things were bland. The mashed potatoes were very good but the brown gravy was terrible. Much better off eating the mashed on their own. The barbecued pork rib was very good but not the best I ever had. The prime rib was also very good but what I expected. Are you getting my drift here? Nothing exceeded (or possibly even met) expectations, which was disappointing considering how many people suggested this buffet. Fried foods were decent - the fried shrimp was actually very good. Onion rings were also very good - I'd have eaten more of these if my buffet-eating strategy allowed it. (Side note: buffet-eating strategy = take a taste of everything that looks good, if first 1-2 bites aren't good, put it down and move on to the next. If you have room later, go back for seconds of the stuff that was actually good). The fried chicken was ok- it was a little dry and not as hot or crispy as one would like fried chicken to be. But that's what you get when it's sitting on a buffet line. For those who want to discredit my review, yes, I went at a very regular time - 6:00pm on a week night for dinner. It was packed and the food was being replenished very regularly. This wasn't a factor of bad timing or a slow restaurant day. Finally, service was hot and cold. Our waitress was good - friendly and didn't take too long to do anything. I was actually kind of annoyed at how some of the food servers interacted with the customers. Example: the pasta station guy - didn't smile once, raised his eyebrows to inquire what we wanted, and then when the food was ready yelled "plate!" Umm, the food might taste alot better if the people who were serving it were a little friendlier. Don't have a pasta station if you can't get a customer friendly chef to man it. Same thing with the gelato (which was good-tasting). The woman who served it also didn't smile once at me and said nothing when I said "thank you". (The pasta guy didn't either in case you were wondering). I am literally from the school of hospitality so maybe I am being a little nit-picky here but that's what service is all about and you don't get 5 stars (or even 4) if your service is less than the best. I probably won't go back here unless it's comped or something. I'd much rather spend my money at a regular restaurant, get friendlier all around service, and know that my meal will be delicious.

The most ridiculous buffet ever!! This is the only buffet ever that I dream about the quality of the food for the price. This has got to be the best buffet on the East Coast. All the food IMO is prepared as well as if it was prepared for an entre. There is a wide variety of cuisines, meats, vegetables, salads, starches, and desserts. The breakfast buffet is not as stunning broad but the food is equally incredible. The desserts are decent and maybe the chink in the armor. However, I love the gelatos. At the Borg Buffet, you will find sushi, chinese, steaks, prime rib/turkey/salmon carving stations, italian, fried foods, carribean, seafood (clams, mussels, fish, but no crab legs) and american dishes. The menu doesn't change much from week to week. They will serve you wine for extra, and soft drinks and coffee (but not expresso/cappaccinos) is included. If you are one of those Austin Powers Fat Bastard type eaters that require crab legs and mounds of mash potatoes, then maybe this place is not for you. But if you like tasting a little bit of everything...and everything good...you will enjoy it. Buffet runs about $20 for breakfast, and $30 for lunch/dinner. If you have or earn a "Black Label" comp card, the first two guests are only $10.

Don't waste your money here! Save it for the table games! Borgata buffet is pricey and does not satisfy. It looks enormous on the outside and there are a lot of choices, I'll give it that. But when you go to eat it, it's tough to swallow (where the quality control..there is none with this buffet). The steaks and prime rib were both dry, as well as the various types of chicken. The sushi was just sad. They had the typical California roll and a tuna roll..which was cooked tuna from the can. Sadly, the only thing I enjoyed were the french fries. As for dessert, they are very cute looking but are deceiving. The cupcakes were not moist and tasted like they've been sitting out for a bit. Go gamble, go shopping, do anything else but eat here.

I may have reviewed the buffet before, I can't recall. It is the best buffet in Atlantic City. This really isn't saying much, considering that the other buffets in AC are on a par with Old Country Buffet. BUT...it is an excellent buffet. The thing that I like best about it is the variety of food ...there are some traditional items that you find on most American buffets (macaroni and cheese), but there are also some unique items that make it worth the price. . There are several cold salads/antipasto, and today there were 3 soups. I had some of the potato leek soup. Pretty good. Today there were frittata (with meat/without meat), fried cod with chips (excellent fish) and batter fried onion rings. Seafood ravioli in a newberg sauce, gourmet mini hamburgers and hot dogs, an asian shrimp dish, vegetable fried rice, sauteed garden squash, green beans, broccoli..there were a zillion more main dishes. The desserts were very fancy looking, but the best tasting one was the coconut macaroons. There was also, chocolate mousse, coconut cream, chocolate cupcakes, cheesecake, fudge brownies with hot sauce, bread pudding with caramel, eclairs, pignoli cookies.... Alright, enough. For 18 bucks it beats anything down there...it was delicious.

although this buffet isnt as good as the ones in vegas, its as good as it gets on the east coast! the lines are mega long on holidays and weekends, and the prices are steep. but if you're a borgata red/black label they offer free buffet passes as long as you've been playing some table games (you can ask the pit boss to comp you more for food!). the voucher will show up in due time. the mussels, clams, shrimp cocktail, seafood in general are delicious, and the fried chicken too! im a sucker for seafood so i usually hang around that way. they also have some basic sushi, asian station, italian foods, and meat station. the desserts make you want to grab them all although you probably wont even be able to fit any in your belly! but do save room for the gelato! service is almost nonexistent so dont expect much after you get your drinks!

I'm normally not AT ALL a buffet person, but I actually like this place and think the quality and selection of the food *maybe* warrant the $30 pricetag. My parents had been here before and were the ones that suggested coming. The cocktail shrimp here is pretty amazing. I could eat $30 worth of cocktail shrimp alone. It's so fresh and tender. Other highlights included the prime rib (very tender), the paella, chinese stir-fried garlic eggplant, and of course the dessert selection (see photo). The dessert bar was huge and included all sorts of mini cakes, tartes, cookies, and even gelato. The Asian food selection/table was pretty weak- the sushi was pretty awful (the only available rolls were califonia, vegetable, and shrimp tempura which was not crispy in the very least) and there were only a limited number of stir-fry dishes.

The Buffet at Borgata is decent. Being from NYC I have been to some excellent buffets. I rate this as average. This buffet has your typical findings (Sirloin, prime rib, lamb shank, roasted turkey, honey ham, shrimp cocktail, etc.) You will not find any Crab legs here. The food tastes ok. Nothing to really write home about. Desserts remind me of your standard chinese buffet desserts. I will say that Borgata Buffet is one of the better buffets in Atlantic City. The wait can be 45 min to 1 hour on the weekends for dinner. The presentation is excellent and the buffet is clean.

Yummmmmmmmyyyy! I love buffets! I love good buffets and this is definitely one of them! We had to wait a bit for our brunch buffet but I think it was definitely worth it. So many selections that I can't just name all of them. But to name a few, the eggs benedict was delish, the pancakes were soft and fluffy and tasty, the bacon was scrumptious, and the fruits were definitely fresh. On top of that, the desserts were the ones I loved. I love desserts in general but usually in buffets, the desserts aren't that great. So I was pleasantly surprised that the desserts here were delicious! Loved the puddings and the cakes and the gelatos. What else can I write? I'm sure they change the menu all the time so I can't talk about specific dishes. So all in all, I know for sure that the food here is top notch when it comes to buffet food. Go here! You will like it =)

Had Borgata Buffet last night and found it to be overpriced for what it was. All the foods we ate were flavorless and dry. There are better choices to be had in Atlantic City I think.

This review is for breakfast only. At about $15, I think this is a reasonable value, especially since you won't feel like eating lunch that day. On the other hand, the food is very uneven. Presentation is perfectly nice, coffee great, and OJ huge. Our server was fine, and everything seemed clean and fresh. The sweet dishes are the most successful: tiny cheese blintzes, apple crepes, waffles. I would avoid the accompanying fruit compotes, all of which were gloppy and commercial-tasting. The savory stuff did not fare as well, with thin oatmeal, a nearly tasteless frittata, hardened "eggs in purgatory." The chicken sausage was tasty, though. Although I didn't try it, the omelet station was bustling. Pastries are nothing special but seemed fresh. There's a lot of filler, like toast and croissants, which I guess makes sense if you're a picky eater or hung over.

It's a pricey brunch, but totally worth it. So many different things to eat, there was no way I could try everything. However, the portions are small so I did get to try a lot. They have mini bagels, small waffles and pancakes, and small dessert portions. This also helps so that people don't take more than they will eat, which many people tend to do at buffets. ^_^ I made four trips up to the buffet, skipping the salad bar, but getting just about everything else. Everything was good and I didn't have anything that tasted bad. I was in a food coma afterwards, but it was worth it.

Happened to wait outside for the lunch buffet here randomly one afternoon...good thing we did because as time got closer to the lunch the line grew to where we couldn't see the end. And we were first in line. The buffet for lunch I think was only around $20 which I thought was more than reasonable especially at the borgata. However, I was not impressed...While there was food everywhere and I am not even the slightest picky I did try everything i possibly could and only fell in love with one thing... General Tso's Chicken ...This was the best chicken I think I have ever had...I mean it was so friggin crispy and delicious! Unfortunately I filled up on the other crap lol and couldn't shove in as much as I wanted. I mean honestly if that chicken was guaranteed to be there next time i go I will pay the 20 dollars to have it lol. Dessert...again nothing special, while everything looks amazing nothing was that flavorful or good to waste the calories on. bummer.

Still pretty darn good although they didn't have the banana or strawberry gelato. They had other flavored. Now there's someone that can make your soup to order which is really good. Price is 30.95 per person for dinner. Very good quality and assortment of Italian and Asian food. Great dessert station lots and lots of desserts. Also there's someone whom makes you pasta to your liking which is pretty darn good. Although the price has gone up the food quality and service is very good still worth the price .

The Borgata buffet is awesome considering I haven't been in a buffet in Atlantic City quite some time. I wanted to come here for the breakfast buffet but I missed it just by a few minutes so I caught the lunch line instead. I really wanted to try to breakfast because I love breakfast food. Food - Lunch buffet was alright. They had a few types of pizza, pasta, roast beef, mac n cheese, New England clam chowder, fried chicken, sausage and peppers, pastries, and some more other stuff. Everything was pretty okay except for the roast beef. The roast beef that day was dry and too chewey. Service - It's casino buffet, what do you expect? Your plates will be gone as quick as the money in your pocket. Verdict - I liked it. If you're staying at the Borgata, definitely come here with the family or group of friends. The last buffet I went to in Atlantic City was the buffet at Trump Marina which was years ago. Borgata has a decent range of variety here. I would just like to try their breakfast buffet next time around. Just thinking about the bacon, sausage, Belgian waffles, omelets, sunny side up eggs, hash browns, and fresh fruits is making my mouth water.

I am between 3 or 4 stars for this place but after giving it a long thought I am going to go ahead and give it a 3 and here's why........................... The food there was good. They have a good selection of food choices. I was kinda sad when I found out their sushi were the regular California rolls and were all small. But given that it IS a buffet, I'll let it slide. I was impressed that you were able to make "small" orders to the cooks in the back to make you something that wasn't out yet. I was able to ask the cook to make 4 noodle soups for my family. It tasted great!! I was disappointed that they were no king crab legs as the I've been to 2 other buffets where they always have it. But I'll let that slide given that different buffets offer different food. I like there selection of desserts!! Small but nicely made!!! I like that the dining area was big and large! For the salad section, there are everything that you would find at a regular salad bar but the whole dressing part was confusing!!! They didn't label any of their dressing which I found it hard to figure out which one is which! So I ask one of the cooks in the back and she didn't know and had to ask another cook who seemed unsure but attempted to smell each one and figure out which dressing is which. I kinda lost my appetite after that. But anyhow, I recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I ate hear for brunch this past Sunday 2/26/12. They have everything you should expect at a casino buffet. Everything seemed fresh for the most part and the shrimp cocktail wasn't fishy. I enjoyed the sirloin steak matched up with spicy chorizo and peppers. The omelete station looked really good and seemed to flow pretty fast. They also had great fried chicken and really thin fresh dough pizza. The cost was 26.75 per person and seemed fair as long as you were hungry. The staff seemed on point and the server greeted us asap with our drink selections. I am not a huge fan of buffets and there are better places to eat inside the Borgata. This would be a great place for large groups or very picker eaters. It was an above average buffet for Atlantic City and would eat there again for brunch, probally not dinner though I like the fine dining experience.

We were hungry and debating where to eat breakfast while here for a work function of my husband's. We're we having a tough time deciding but my pregnant belly ended that all really quick with the word "buffet" in viewing distance. The wait wasn't bad (maybe 10 minutes max). The selection was ok, the usual suspects you'd expect to see with a decent addition of shrimp cocktail and cured salmon (or lox, I didn't venture to try it). We had an omelet from the made to order station and the ladies behind it were super fast and friendly which made the whole thing rather fun for me. Unfortunately, the omelet was not good at all...I never thought an omelet could be made to taste bad, and I can't pinpoint what it was but they were horrible. The shrimp cocktail was decent and I liked that you could add extra horseradish to your sauce to punch it up a bit. The desserts were plentiful but nothing really stood out except for the gelato and the tiramisu cups behind the pastry case. As it turns out, the banana strawberry sorbet was the better choice IMHO and the tiramisu cup was good, not great but good. It was ok, but I wouldn't come back.

We have been here more than a few times and the food was always great but this weekend was disappointing. Yes the shrimp were very good but the rest of the entrees were meh. Also some of the blandest desserts I ever tasted. How can you have tasteless desserts? I might think twice next time especially considering the $30.00 price. Luckily the mother inlaw had comps so we got off easy.

There are MANY other good choices for food at Borgata. We went for the breakfast and it was awful. Limited food choices, service was terrible, food generally was greasy or overcooked and tasteless. Good thing it was comped or I would have been even more upset.

Ok, so I know that no buffet will ever really compare to the world-renowned buffets in Vegas... BUT, come on!!! I had such high hopes for the Borgata Buffet. I thought it would be somewhat comparable, but I wouldn't even go that far. For $20, the only dishes that I enjoyed at the buffet was the lobster ravioli (but really, with all that creamy vodka sauce, how could you go wrong?) and the herb-roasted potatoes (again, doused in butter so can't really go wrong here). Everything else was just super 'meh'. I've been to seafood and sushi buffets and even THEY offered a better variety than the Borgata Buffet. INSIDER TIP: Save your $ and make your way to the WHITE HOUSE SUB SHOP instead! OH, and make sure to order a cup of tea at the end of your meal, because they actually offer some fancy tea bags.

I don't care for buffets in general, despite the fact I love the all you can eat concept. I find the Borgata Buffet to be very simple and ordinary, nothing special and over-priced. I will go here and when I get comped and it doesn't cost me anything but your better off dining at any of the other resgtaurants at the Borgata.

Came in for brunch on a Sunday, and they literally had everything available. From breakfast to lunch to dinner items. They had a great omlet station with a chef and a self serve waffle station. The food was okay and they replenished the items pretty quickly. My favorite item was the salmon, which was perfectly cooked with a char-grilled outer crust. Our server wasn't the friendliest...she was an old hag that didn't seem like she was too thrilled to be there (I couldn't really blame her) and the other people there were a bit shovy. I guess that's how people are at a buffet? I mean there was a LOT of everything available, so I"m not sure why people were shoving me to get to the food.

This buffet was good--but it wasn't the best I've been to. The wait was 1 hour long when the guy up front said it would only be 10 minutes. The dinner price was around $80 with tax and tip for two. I was expecting it to be a whole lot larger but it wasn't. You can get your money's worth if you eat a lot of the prime rib and seafood. We had about 4 plates of clams and mussels and 2 plates of prime rib. Great selection for desserts--even sugar-free gelato. I usually try at least one of each and share. Free drinks (non-alcoholic). I would come back if I'm in town again. I want to try the brunch next time.

One of the best buffets I have ever been to. The quality of food is good (for a buffet), variety is huge, service is good. Unlike other buffets I have been to the food and plates never run out. and also for dessert you can get gelatto which I throught was great. One of the only things I did not like is the wait to get seated, but hey I came here during peak hours of Sunday brunch (what else can I expect but to wait) and there are no bathrooms in the resturant. You have to step out of the resturant and take a short walk to the restroom.

After checking out several buffets, I have to say this one is the only one worth of my time and money. Borgata's buffet doesn't have lobsters, but what it does have is really good. Decor is also better than the rest. I was happy.

We have been to the Borgata Buffet several times. We tried their brunch and dinner buffet. I prefer the brunch buffet over dinner. They had an omelet station instead of the pasta station for brunch. I love the prime rib at the carving station, which were there for brunch and dinner. A lot of choices were offered, but no crab legs!!!

Nicest buffet in town for the price you pay . The food is very quality stuff and you don't feel like you are in some sleazy buffet. I do not know where to start with the food descriptions of the many ways I pigged out at Borgata. I am too overwhelmed with how great it all was to divulge my gluttonous adventure. Lets just say I made it a 2 nights thing when we went to AC last month for 3 nights. That's how good it was. Screw Bobby Flay's.

If you are a seafood buffet lover like me, this is not the place for you. I was hoping I could get more than just Shrimp Cocktail, Baked salmon, Pan seared Crab Cakes, Mussels and Clams.... like what the Fiesta Buffet has : KING CRAB LEGS!!! YUm,...but I am left craving for it. But then again, life goes on and so does my cravings... They have a great selection of appetizers, like california rolls, some tuna rolls, salads...with four dressings...but hey, where is the olive oil and balsamic? but then again, my craving is like life....it goes on.... They had chow mei fun, fried rice which is yum! Sirloin steak which is dry.... a baked whole salmon which never really attracted my palette surprisingly, pork....chicken....wild rice...pasta..lobster and crab ravioli which i didnt try, What I liked most is the Prime Rib. Its very tender, although they're a bit cheap on slicing it very thin, I had to go back twice. I also liked the caramelized pearl onions and the red wine sauce on it. So...on my plate, theres shrimp cocktail with mignonette sauce and fresh horseradish....yum! calamata olives in olive oil....prime rib....and whatelse? some fried rice....and a california roll which is I wish they never offer! Dessert: Im a dessert skipper remember? But then they have a great Dessert selection . They all looked nice...I tried the buttercream biscuit....love it...not too sweet!!!!

Although this was my first trip to Atlantic City and I have nothing to compare it to except for buffets in Vegas, we thought the Borgata Buffet was excellent and would definitely go back. We went on a Sunday for dinner and got there right at 4 when they opened...we only waited 5 minutes or so which wasn't bad. Every dish we had was fantastic -- especially the fish dishes of mahi mahi, salmon and tilapia. Also loved the little bite-sized desserts so that you can taste a little bit of everything. I thought the sushi could have been a little better, but buffet sushi can't be compared to regular sushi. They are smart in that they make smaller quantities of each dishes and replenish often so nothing sits around for long at all. Price was very affordable at $33/person and the service was good too.

Best buffet in AC. Only thing that would make it even better is if they had crab legs like Harrahs! Don't let the $30 price tag scare you here! It is worth every penny!!! Only other complaint is that they need to change up they style of food and desserts once in a blue moon. I come to AC 2 or 3 times a year and always make a point to stop here for the buffet and its usually the same every time (which isn't a big deal since its good), but I would love to see more unique choices and different items next time!

I almost want to give this one 5 stars but not quite. It is way better than pretty much every other buffet in Atlantic City. The food was pretty top notch. I had the lunch when I was here for about $17.99 you got whatever you wanted really good chinese, Italian, American food tables and a fabulous dessert area. I went back for 2nd and 3rds so I got my money's worth and I was not even hungry for like the whole rest of the night. I think I just ate some fruit later to go along with the more drinks I had in the casino. I am not however a big fan of gambling in the actual Borgata casino. I will stop by again for the food though. If you are in AC and have some time to spare check it out. Definitely maybe be crowded, crowded on the weekend here early like this.

Literally the best dinner buffet I have ever been to. Most buffets you maybe find a few things you like and kind of load up on them. This place is completely different cause there were so many good things i literally could not eat them all in 1 trip. An entire section of chinese food with a great selection, fresh meat being cut for you (london broil & ham the night i was there), great seafood selection although it was lacking crab legs. Freshly made breads were great and tasted like they just came out of the oven. The desert selection was pretty good and you could see the workers constantly bringing out freshly baked cookies off trays from the back. Now I dont pay full price for anything at the borgata thanks to my great comps but i honestly would pay the 30$ to eat here cause it is the best value you can get here for that price.

Just have to start off by saying that I love Borgata. It's my favorite casino in AC. Unfortunately, upon hearing better than mediocre reviews, my experience at the Borgata Buffet was lackluster. The first time I ate there, my party was comped the meal and we were excited to try the spread. Upon closer examination, the food wasn't anything to rave about really. The best thing I ate that day for lunch was probably the prime rib and this spinach and cheese stuffed ravioli. Everything else, including the dessert options were pretty forgettable. The second time was for dinner and wasn't much better. I don't plan on eating there again. I'm generally NOT a buffet lover, but I do occasionally indulge in overeating. I've definitely had better buffets and for the price ~$25-30, you couldn't played at least 2 hands of blackjack at a $10-15 min table lol. Skip it and go back to the tables.

Great service, great food, a ton of variety. You will not be disappointed. Price was worth it. The wait was minimal considering it was a Saturday night. The sushi bar was ok, steaks was delicious. Oh! And the desserts!!!!! You can't go wrong.

I LOVE buffets, especially for breakfast, and this 1 was GREAT! For $16 per adult, there was SO much to choose from--omelet bar, Belgian waffles/pancakes/French toast bar (with such toppings as blueberry compote, bananas foster, peach compote, nuts, fresh whipped cream), lots of fresh fruit (although the strawberries were over ripe), pastries galore (muffins, danishes, etc), breads galore (croissants, bread slices, bagels, bisquites w/gravy), eggs galore (scrambled, 2 fritatas, sunny side up), cereal, oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt, meats (bacon, 2 types of sausage, corned beef hash, and ham). Am I missing anything? Ok, I didn't see grits (but that doesn't mean it wasn't there or that they don't have it). Coffee, tea, juice, milk included. Service was great and self parking is only $5. We arrived at 9:30am (they opened at 8am) on Sat and there wasn't a line, but shortly thereafter the line built up). I also found that the mini pastry & mini breads were a great idea so to only have a little so you can have other stuff & not waste so much.

So I'm not a huge fan of Buffet's to begin with, even the best ones that Vegas has to offer (Bellagio etc.) only solicit a slight meh in my book. The Borgata Buffet is not bad considering it is the Jersey Shore... We showed up around noon and there wasn't much of a line but the cashiers apparently didn't know that lunch started at 11:30. Two cashiers finally showed up at about 12:15 and then the line moved quickly. We were seated right away and the waitress brought us our drinks as ordered. The food, there was nothing bad about it, but nothing to rave about either. There were no cocktail shrimp during the lunch buffet which I found a bit of a bummer. None of the hot food really stood out. The pizza looked like your typical school lunch room pizza. The beef brisket at the carving station was ok, some of the pasta dishes looked like they had been sitting there since last night. My daughter loved the Mac & Cheese, she's probably the only one that got her money worth since kids under 3 eat for free. I'll concur with other reviews and say that the dessert bar was probably the best part. The gelato was fresh and the Macaroon's where the sh*t! Probably my favorite thing in the whole buffet. So if you can stomach (no pun intended) spending $18 just to get some good ass macaroons then this place is for you!

I decided to try this place since I had some slot dollars I could put towards dinner. The line to get in was long. We waited 30 minutes for a table. I am not sure why we had to wait so long though. There were clearly empty tables throughout the place. Maybe they were saving them for the high-rollers, who knows? The best part of the buffet was the seafood. I have some shrimp cocktail as well as the mussels/clams in white wine sauce. I found the salmon cooked in banana leaf to be a bit dry, but still good. I also liked their Spanish rice and potatoes au gratin as sides. The desert section has an assortment of pastries, cookies and fresh fruit. I had some mini pecan pies and peanut butter cookies. Very tasty. (The Chinese and Italian areas didn't appeal to me so I pass on those. The Japanese section was lame with just a few rolls.) Service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and quick with clearing the plates while we go more food and getting drinks.

I have to preface this by saying I'm not a huge buffet person but this is a pretty decent buffet and most of the stuff isn't laying out for hours. Breakfast food like eggs and bacon isn't always as good but the mac & cheese, asparagus, lobster ravioli, and shrimp cocktail are all pretty awesome. My friends love this buffet and the lobster and would definitely give it a 4.5 for that alone!

The Borgata buffet is probably one of the best in the Atlantic City area. The restaurant is nice, the kitchen areas are clean and neat, and the turnover for food is high, which makes me feel better. I think there's a great variety of food and there's something for everyone. Considering the costs of other buffets, I dont think the price is bad for Borgata, considering what you're getting. The mini desserts are great, you can try all the desserts without wasting food. I've been to the Showboat and some other buffets and they're ok, but I just think they look sloppy and thats one thing about the Borgata thats different.

Went to eat Borgata lunch buffet on friday. By reading the reviews of it being the "best" buffet in atlantic city I was expecting it really to be outstanding. But while eating, I did not approve with that tagline. My favorite items were the salad bar, salmon, chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, tilapia, spaghetti, meatballs. The roast beef which was served by the employee looked delicious but when I brought it back to the table to eat, it was so tough that I couldn't even bite into it; so it was probably sitting there for a long time. The make-yourself fajitas were not great. The mussels had no taste was well, it was lacking taste and sauce. The Chinese section was okay...again...I have had better so I was not impressed with it. The roast pork with fig sauce was too hard to cut with a knife so I didn't even bother eating it since I couldn't even take a bite out of it. There were a lot of dessert options....we had got a plate to try a little bit of everything...out of all the selections there were only 3 that turned out to be good: the warm brownie, pomegranate gelato, and the fudge cup; the cheesecake had no taste which was disappointing because I LOVE cheesecake! I would have to agree that the service is great though. No issues with that. We were seated right away and given beverages right away. But in regards to the food: I've had other buffets in vegas and this definitely does not come close. Especially since it is still around the same price (Lunch buffet was $19 a person). I would personally not go back since the money spent did not cover my liking for the food I had. maybe dinner is better...but then again its more $... Hope this helps!

Mussels - YUM! That is why it gets four stars. end review. just kidding.. Anyway, really though, that's the reason why I give it four stars. We went for lunch and the selection was okay, they had chinese, italian, american and that's about it. The seafood selection was a bit weak. However, the food I had - pasta, potatoes, mussels (best part!) were pretty good. They even had cute tiny grilled cheese sandwiches. The price was $20 which is okay, not bad. The deserts weren't that tasty though. The only I thing cared for were the eclairs. Yum! Loved it! I'd come back here though, maybe for dinner or maybe for the mussels.

I had my bachelors party at the Borgata. I've been to this buffet on numerous occassions as well. As far as AC buffets are concerned this is 4-stars. Not the best...but definitely better than the competition. compared to Sultan's Feast and Fantasea Reef Buffet (now called Waterfront Buffet). When comparing to any AYCE buffets, this drops to 3 stars. Casinos that make katrillions in revenues should understand that these buffets really aren't WORTH $30. Although I do leave content, I don't feel like I really want to come back, unless I have to.

Im a BIG fan of Hotel Buffets! Ive been in at least 8 hotels Buffets in VEGAS, and 7 in Atlantic City. Borgata in the east coast is one of the best yet! Steaks, Chicken, Chinese, all kinds of food you can think of, they have it! My favorite part of the buffet is their dessert! They have baby tiny cheesecake bites!! Different flavor gelatos is sick!! This place is the only buffet I would go to nowadays! I used to go to Showboat buffet when I was a kid, but thats because I didnt know any better. Plus it was my parents dragging me there and plus I had no money to pay for the buffet.

Come here for dinner and you'll be enamored with wide selection of foods. Shrimp cocktails were fresh and plump. Fish were cooked to perfection and not too dry. Meat were tender and juicy. Also, they have a huge Chinese selection. All you Asians are thinking, dumb, right? (Or at least my friends do). I know I shouldn't be eating Chinese food in buffets because they are usually cheap in cost, but I do need my serving of fried rice and chow mein every time I am in one. And Borgata didn't disappoint! They also offer gelato and Orange Sorbet for dessert. plus another 100 points! The downside for some of you may be that there are no crab legs. But I don't like them at buffets anyway because the quality is questionable (same goes for Lobsters). The sushi was also horrible. It was the cheap, soggy kind that you'd find at Costco. Is it really that hard to make edible sushi at American buffets? But overall, Borgata is a win.

The Borgata Buffet is probably their best casual dining they have available. The service is pretty consistent, the variety is decent, and the pricing is much cheaper for eaters like myself who like to splurge on food. The salad options are a bit lacking, but at least the quality is much better than simple greens. They offer several pre-made options such as Greek and Italian mixed salads. The common dishes are served in smaller quantities to keep them fresh. They appeared to focus more on Asian, American, and Italian style dishes. I found most of the dishes lacking in flavor, but the over all variety and taste was satisfactory. The desert options would be the most appealing. In addition to the nice selection of pastries and cakes, some of which are sugar free, they also have a small selection of gelato to choose from. The different variety of deserts definitely made up for the lack of taste of the main dishes. I would truly expect more from the buffet of the most prestigious casino in Atlantic city. The course variety and flavor for the main dishes are definitely lacking, and the desert options are the only thing that makes the variety of the buffet above what is expected of a buffet. Over all it is still much better than their Metropolitan restaurant Borgata offers...

The Sunday Brunch Buffet here is nothing to be too excited about, especially considering it's $27 price tag. There was a short line around 1230-1pm. Highlights: -Clam Chowder had lots of clams in it, could have been slightly thicker, but still tasty -Prime rib -shrimp cocktail (hard to fail) -mashed potatoes No crab legs and the dessert wasn't too appealing. Standard buffet. Never tried any of the other buffets in AC, but I assume this is one of the better and nicer ones.

I have gone to the breakfast buffet here. its nothing special. The dinner buffet on the other hand is very good. It is leaps and bounds better than any other buffet in AC that i have been to. The quality of the food served at all the stations is absolutely top notch. The only issue i have is with the prince. if I'm going to spend 35$ on the buffet, i might as well go to one of the other awesome restaurants here.(Unless you have a black or plat card.)

I ate there just once, but it was enough to enter in my top list. It's probably the best brunch place I have ever eaten! The variety of food is excellent, from start to finish. It has all the best breakfast options you may think of, including some variety of french food, has excellent variety of meet but also vegetarian options for the actual lunch menu, and awesome desserts. TURN ON'S: TRY THE BRUNCH! Food variety, maybe one of the greatest myriad's of food I have ever seen. Not only the variety, but presentation and taste of the food is top star. Probably the best place to eat in Atlantic city if you are looking for a buffet. Turn off's: Waiters may serve you in a way not so good...the role they play in there is basically drinks and bring the check, but they behave like they are bring to get rid of you.

Just ate hear today for lunch. I should start by saying that I am in no means a buffet person. EVER! I even, yes I'm not ashamed to say it, turn down the buffets in Las Vegas. Although this place won't make me come back every single day, it will definitely make me come back every time I stay in the Borgata. We came here because we were comped, and my boyfriend heard it was really good. I have to say, it was really good! They have a big chinese food section, which I am ALL FOR! The only thing lacking was the traditional chicken & broccoli, that most buffets have. The only chinese chicken dish they did have was General Taos. The fried rice is really good, and the mash potatoes taste straight out of a steak house! I highly recommend this place!

Very disappointed with the buffet selection here. Best they had was the prime rib and it was just decent 7/10. Tempura soft shell crab was 5/10. Sushi bar they had was terrible, mixed of california rolls/ shrimp tempura rolls/ cucumber rolls all looked terrible. I actually prefer Harrah's over this since they have crab legs and you cant go wrong with that. I want my $40 dollars back after tip/tax.

Being a vegetarian, it is sometimes difficult to eat at places like buffets, but this one gave me more options then I could choose from! They even had tofu products in the Chinese section, lots of vegetables, potatoes, etc. The dessert section makes me wish I was obese so that I could stay there all day and eat 5 of everything. They have gelato, cheesecake bites, brownies, cookies, numerous cakes, chocolate mousse in an edible cup, and much more! I must say, the pink lemonade tasted funny and was disappointing! I love this place and will be back for sure a third time and many more though I do agree that the price is steeper than Mount Everst!

I hardly consider buffets as places to appreciate good food so to stave off disappointment, my expectations do a nose-dive when I go. My family went to the Borgata Buffet on a recent Saturday night around 7 PM. No line, although the restaurant was by no means empty. Within the half hour though, the line began to grow and when we left around 8:30 PM, the place was packed. The semi-separated dining areas surround the central food area. Decor is an extension of the main casino/hotel, the Italian-style faux elegance, and is fairly nice to dine in. Tables are very solid. Service for drinks and clearing the tables was prompt. Noise level was very high but what I'd expect for a buffet right next to the casino area. When we went, just about all the food stations were opened, and everything was refilled at a steady clip. Its a broad selection of options, some better than others. Small salad bar, small selection of non-fish sushi, Chinese food section, Italian pastas section, a few meat carving stations, American food section, Latin food section, seafood section, and dessert section. Not everything was prepared well, and the salad and sushi sections were pathetic compared to what I've seen elsewhere (although I wouldn't eat sushi in a buffet no matter the venue). But there was plenty of food that was pretty decent. Some highlights were stir fried striped bass, shrimp cocktail, pork shoulder, freshly fried Chinese eggplant, artichoke and fennel salad, and bread pudding. Borgata Buffet exceeded my low expectations, but more so because with the volume of food available, I found enough well-prepared individual items that together, made a very satisfying meal for me. At $30 per person, its not cheap, but given the overall quality of the food, I think its reasonable.

Ok for a hotel like this to have a buffet like this? WHAT WENT WRONG? *Disclaimer we did go on a weekday but still it shouldn't have been this LAME. By far one of the worst buffets I've ever been to. To make matters worse, the price! This was robbery!!! Several of the food stations weren't open the selection was very very minimal and it was just plain BLAH!!! Even a sizzler buffet is better than this place and its much cheaper. SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Go to one of the other restaurants in the hotel where the food is phenomenal. The wine bar is great and I LOVE the Old Homestead.

Expensive, but well worth it. I rarely, ever, come to buffets so I decided to give this one a try., and I am glad I did because I never had a bad experience. The place was packed for a Tuesday afternoon, which is actually quite nice to see (makes me think this place is popular). I love the dumplings and the pizza. The dessert selection is also really good. I don't know what they're called (sugar-free!!) but I think these chocolate eclair type of pastries tasted very good. The meats were great. Carved and freshly prepared right in front of you. I want to come here again real soon, you'll definitely gain weight with the irresistible variety they offer here!

So we went Labor day weekend and after reading all the reviews and looking at the small and dried up dishes at Trump's Sultan Buffet, we decided to use our free casino parking transfer and drive up from the boardwalk's Revel to Borgata and boy were we not disappointed. I think we waited on line for 35-45 minutes and got there 7 PM, and the wait plus peeking over to what others were eating made us even more excited! Note: my husband and I only eat halal food so that meant only seafood and vegetarian for us. I thought the banana leaf wrapped salmon was bland so I gave it to my husband with some horseradish sauce and he liked it. I wasn't feeling it. The sushi was mediocre so the reviewers are right about that- take once piece and see for yourself. I tried the shrimp tempura. I actually like runny mac & cheese and so I loved theirs! I even got seconds as it was runny but very cheesy. Their mushroom ravioli and oven baked mushrooms and all the fried rices were very good and the fried shrimp was nice as well. I couldn't try the meats or chicken so no comment on that. The service is good and the quality is definitely there so you don't feel as guilty paying $32 per person. I thought their vegetable soup was too salty, BUT their mashed potatoes were the best! you must try them..they must have had some cream cheese and/ or sour cream in them..soo good! Try the mashed potatoes! They also have a very good salad selection. I liked their ceaser dressing; it was high quality stuff and good Parmesan cheese goes a long way. I was tempted to get more salad but I knew I had to save room and try 8 more items ;p I didn't like their pear salad as the goat cheese turned me off. I personally though the dessert was great. Their cheesecake and hot brownies were excellent, and the chocolate mousse was good. I didn't like their gelato green apple flavor or their chocolate- it felt watered down. I would go here again and I had fun choosing and picking what to eat! I wish it was cheaper but oh well!

This ain't no vegas buffet, this ain't the bellagio, wynn or the rio. Its atlantic city so we gotta lower the standards a bit it seems. Its a decent buffet you'll get full off the food there eventually. Breakfast was decent. Bacon was a bit too salty considering it was maple hickory smoked. They had fresh fruit, not a lot but still they had strawberries. They had beignets which I found to be amusing. They have a larger selection of food, frittas, pastries, toast, and a long line for omelets. They even have grits and oatmeal, and those tiny box cereals. They had these star cookies that looked cute, wrapped up with a ribbon and everything. course the icing was harder than the cookie itself, not a good thing. anyways if you're hungry go, stuff yourself and eat and be happy, but remember this ain't vegas!

Las Vegas this definitely is not. The buffet is alright, but that's about it. When browsing around reviews for restaurants in this casino, I saw a ton of people saying "Well, it's the Borgata, so..." .....uh, am I just not from around here or am I missing something? Is that supposed to mean something? Is there a reason why this buffet is $5 more than most Vegas lunch buffets, but more lacking? Oh, well, "IT'S THE BORGATA"?!?!?!

I rubbed my baby bump at the Wheel of Fortune slots and won $250 so I treated myself and my husband to dinner last Friday. I skipped the salads, but tried a bit of almost everything else. Everything (except for the roast pork) was excellent. The cocktail shrimp were HUGE. They didn't seem to have too much in the way of sushi, but I can't have any now so it didn't bother me. Everything was freshly cooked (and we came at the end of the dinner rush). The wait staff was excellent as well. The best part of the buffet was definitely dessert. Their mini chocolate cupcakes are to die for - I wish I had snuck some out with me! The chocolate chip cookies were wonderful too, as well as the eclairs. I will definitely be back next time I win some more money because it is a bit pricey otherwise.

Usually buffets are suspect. Not here. Excellent food with a constantly changing menu. This buffet is the best in Atlantic City. Everything is fresh and the price is right considering what you get for your money. Have eaten here many times and have yet to be disappointed.

  • Jason R.

This is one of the best brunch/breakfast buffets I've dined in. The selection is always fresh and they never skimp on the lox or shrimp. (that's the real reason I hit the buffet) I usually try to stay away from most of the fillers like bread and muffins. They tend to keep the servings small to guarantees that you are always getting fresh food and that it hasn't been sitting there for a long time. I tend to eat things that I usually don't eat in daily life like bacon and all those other delicious breakfast foods like waffles and french toast. Every time I visit the Borgata I always come here for brunch, just to treat myself to a nice brunch. **I've never had dinner or lunch..this is just based on brunch/breakfast

This is a great dinner buffet. I love the Borgata and it's my favorite casino to visit in A.C. so I decided to give the buffet a try. Attractive atmosphere, comfy booths, and our server was very attentive. The presentation of the food was nicely done. The variety was nice and the food itself was delicious...I ate a little of everything it seemed like. I would have liked to see a larger dessert selection, but what they did have was great. Worth the price if you're hungry.

came here for lunch and it was $17.95 for regular customers and mind you there is a separate line for black card holders and non card holders. approximately the wait for a table from the cashier was 20 mins. we arrived at 1245 and wasn't seated till 105pm. Buffet is served till 2pm but at this point people are still lining up to get seats. ok the spread was nothing extraordinary or special. they have american, italian, chinese.they got pasta, chix, mussels, vegggies, ham, beef, pizza, bread, salad, fruits, the desert was fun coz they had gelato in 4 flavors. covered parking has a charge of $5.00 if you are not a black card holder.

Maybe it was because I was still full from my 18oz steak from the night before, but you might want to skip this breakfast buffet. Nothing stands out that I really liked. The eggs were really bland and sh#$ on a shingle which I love anywhere else was cold. Even the sausage and bacon were dry. How can you screw up bacon? I went up for seconds and didn't even finish. The only thing which was halfway decent were the mini waffles. We were there early around 915am before everything was picked over and the crowds arrived. No excuse. $30 per person was a ripoff. I did regret not hitting the gelato bar on the way out, but at that point I was ready to throw up. If you want a sit down breakfast at the Borgata for half the price, make your way over to the Metropolitan.

After visiting Las Vegas and enjoying a buffet at the MGM, have to say for the same price the Borgata Buffett DOES NOT EVEN COMPARE. I would save your money and hit one of the other restaurants in the Borgata. Even if you do not get as much food atleast the food you get will be better than this. The place looks huge from the entrance but it in fact does not have much to choose from in terms of variety. I think there were 4-6 different chicken dishes and atleast 5 meat dishes. Every side dishes was drenched in butter and salt :( The salad bar area was, well SAD. It had 2 types of lettuce and nothing more than that but dressing and some croutons. I wish I had not spent 30 bucks here for dinner. Next time I will hit the italian place that is downstairs.

Went here instead of Harrahs. Big mistake. If you're a black card holder then you get to cut the line and people like my 8 month pregnant wife - while we pay full price they pay a fraction. 5 mins to get a high chair. Poor service. Not family friendly. Food is good - thats all i'm giving them.

Had lunch here on a Friday. I've been to a lot of casino buffets and this one was disappointing. They had a good variety of food, and enough vegetarian options (thank you for the sign indicating that there was pork in the baked beans!) but the food was just...bland. The macaroni and cheese didn't have much flavor - I actually would have preferred the Kraft stuff in the blue box! The desserts were similarly disappointing - good variety, but nothing that wowed me. For the price, I wouldn't go back.

Regular breakfast spot on my visits with a short wait. Yummy brunch for $17. Love the mini bagels with lox and capers. Service was excellent. The berries and fruit selection were super sweet and perfect even during the winter months! Scrambled eggs were a bit runny, which I didn't like. Nice staple in the morning spot to go to!

I didn't get to stay at the hotel itself, me and my wallet settled for a modest hotel on the boardwalk, but this buffet was amazing. It's almost an insult to call it a buffet because the imagethat comes to mind is WRONG. The Borgata (Sunday brunch) buffet is one of the best and I am making a mental note to make my way down to Atlantic City this summer and go back. Most buffet desserts are 50% pretty and 50% yuck, but the ones here are inside a glass case, which you must request from the dessert attendant (I love you) - with legit fruit tarts and gelato, and a brunch menu that has eggs/pancakes, london broil and pasta - Borgata buffet is #1. Forrealsies. Yeah, I said forrealsies.

It's Friday night, 8pm prime time for dinner and the food was bad and at $30 each plate was not worth it. All the sirloins well well done and look like leather. Seafood was pathetic. No crab legs. Only salmon and shrimp. The server was nice but got the drinks messed up and I told her that the wine was not mine and her attitude came out. I didn't order any more drinks from her for the fear of tampering with my drinks. The gelato dessert does not taste like gelato. The chicken and risotto was horrible. For $60 I can go to many other places and have better food.

So after doing exhaustive research online about the buffets in the area, we chose the Borgata as the best overall buffet. We did the trick of getting there at the end of breakfast to be able to get both breakfast and lunch for the price of breakfast. I've eaten in a lot of buffets around the world in the last 20 years - Shanghai, Singapore (orchard street- amazing), New York, Asia in general, Europe, India, Hotel Del in San Diego, San Francisco, and Vegas (Belagio!) The breakfast buffet was pretty good, but pretty standard-run-of-the-mill Westin/Hilton/Marriott level breakfast buffet. I actually would give the breakfast buffet a 3, maaaybe a 4. Lunch was disappointing. I Would have been very upset if I paid lunch prices for lunch. Nothing stood out. Nothing was good that urged me to go back for more. The kids weren't event excited by the Gelato. I suppose if you want to do a buffet, Borgota will be the one to go to in AC. I can't wait to get back to Vegas this summer, it's been 10 years...

Pricey. Good quality products. Gelato for dessert. Salad bar is a bit weak. Good shrimp and scallops. Very good waiter/waitress service. Will be back again.

A very solid 3.5 They have a great variety of food and it seemed they were very good about keeping stations well stocked as soon as it seemed supply was running low. Everything from biscuits with sausage gravy to healthy omlettes to huevos rancheros can be had her. The servers are quick to get you your drinks and clearing plates as soon as you put down your fork. Oh and if you want a large glass of juice, they don't offer the iron, you have to ask them for it.

The Borgata Hotel seemed like an upscale establishment compared to its AC Boardwalk counterparts. I was amazed that parking in this hotel's garage was only $5 compared to the $10-$20 fee charged by parking lots near the boardwalk. Since the closing of Showboat which once had a scrumptious buffet, so I then had to try dining at Borgata Buffet for $34. I was surprised at some of the limited options & variety of food at the bar. Also when sampling my food selections, it was obvious that the taste was bland and the quality seemed subpar. Service was actually the best part of my dining experience maybe because the servers could possible sway you to return. Golden Coral's buffet is better prepared, more variety and tastes good for $13!

We got two buffet dinner comped at the borgata so I have to write my review with that fact in mind. If I had to pay about $35/pp, I would have had a slightly higher standard. With all that said, I enjoyed dinner at this buffet. There was a wide selection of seafoods, salads, carving station, Chinese area (nothing there interested me. Very takeout style foods), italian area (mussels in white wine sauce were delish as were the huge cheese ravioli). The cocktail shrimps tasted like raw oysters and it was kind of funky. They also had huge prawns tossed with some sort of herb dressing those were enjoyable. The cocktail sauce had a kick to it and was very good. The dessert sections had a great selection and everything was good. We had chocolate mousse. Tiramisu. Blood orange sorbet. Mango sorbet. Creme brûlée (a fav amongst us). They also offered fresh fruit and crepes and many other items that we didn't try. They have steaks, burgers, southern style fried chicken (love). Our waiter was very attentive and kind. Even if I had to pay $35, I would have been happy with the meal. I'll definitely be back.

A little expensive for a buffet, but it is inside of casino so its somewhat understandable. Its only really worth it if you have comp dollars or comp buffet in general. Otherwise I say explore with the different restaurants or if you don't want to spend so much go downstairs I will obviously go back since I I will get comps lol. Food is good, only knock is price and sometimes it gets boring trying the same food over and over

When you have a concern and bring it to the managements attention, and their response is "Just Relax!!" You know you are not in a good establishment.

With what is left of AC, the Borgata Buffet is one of my favs--OK I'm not counting all the places that closed. I used to have Revel at the top of my list for food and views. Now Borgata fills that void. Do try the buffet here--it's worth every star it has earned

I have been here for lunch and dinner before, but I am reviewing for breakfast right now. I thought the food was good, as usual. The price for breakfast was 17 each I believe, I had no comps so we payed for it out of pocket. I think for 35 ish dollars, it was worth it when compared to breakfast at your average diner. You get the variety and that is worth a couple of bucks to me. They have a good range of breakfast items. At the meat stations, they had honey ham on the bone, a thick slab of bacon that they were cutting, and a large piece of some sort of beef/steak thing. I only got to the ham and it was good, juicy, but I did not love the side pineapple glaze, I wouldn't add that on top again. Their fruit was sweet, and they had a few nice fresh juices out. I tried the veggie frittata, and I really enjoyed that. The portobello mushroom was good, but my favorite veggie was the roasted roma tomatoes w/ breadcrumbs on top. I did not try the omelette station, I never have the patience to wait in line, but I did see what they were making and it looked delicious. The regular scrambled eggs were oddly good, I always like industrial buffet eggs. You can't go wrong with bacon either. The waffle was good, I didn't love the french toast though. They had a good variety of pastries and baked goods, mini bagels, toast, biscuits, gravy etc. The pastries were really fresh and tasty. There are also small boxes of cold cereal, and some hot cereals on the other side along with accompaniments to all of the dishes, cottage cheese, sour cream, toppings like brown sugar, chocolate chips, cinnamon, etc. My go to buffet for AC.

We came to the Buffett while staying at Borgata. The price of it is $32.95 per person. Their is a wide selection/variety of food and you can get as much as you want. Our waiter who brought us our waters and was suppose to take the dirty plates was rarely around. It took forever to get refills of water, and we had to sit with dirty plates on the table for a bit. I didn't think that the food was that good, nothing tasted like it was hot, just luke warm. I've gone to the Harrah's buffet and I think that it is so much better there.

Best buffet in Atlantic city! Definitely healed my wounds from losing. Do not go right before they close. Went around 7pm on a Wednesday night and was half full. Awesome selection of foods.

When we arrived Atlantic city, we started to search for good buffets. I have been Las Vegas and satisfied with buffets there. But from yelp, I can find only few options. So we decided to go to borgata buffet as more reviews about it. From my hotel, I took taxi and spent 13 dollars for only around 2 miles! So expensive at this city! Then we waited in the line to enter the buffet for 15 minutes. When we got into the food lobby, I found the food is limited. A large portion of food is Chinese cuisine! : ( . But chicken, salmon, beef are all cooked great! At the end of eating, the roasted bone emerged! So delicious and a good ending for the dinner! I have to give 5 star ranking for this buffet!

On a whim while passing through AC we found out that there is an available breakfast buffet. We were pleasantly surprised. The buffet was worth the $$. Wide variety of items.

You would think I'm biased bc of living in Buffetworld aka Las Vegas, but I'm not sure if that's a factor here. Regardless of how many buffets you've been to in your life, this one just isn't good. Straight up. The food isn't great. It's not creative. The options aren't abundant. It's not cheap ($34 dinner). Those are things that I typically look for in a buffet, soooo yea. No bueno here. There's a bit of everything, but nothing stood out. Some Chinese (lo mein, sesame chicken), sushi (California roll, smoked salmon, veggie roll), steak and grilled chicken (sitting out, cold and dry), some rando pasta dishes (best thing here), the salad bar is lame (better at your local Ruby Tuesday's), one pizza under a heat lamp... you get the point. I will say that the service was solid, the dessert was good and the place looks great. The food might taste like it's from a Denny's, but at least it feels like you're somewhere else. My take? Grab that $34 and go somewhere else. A little of something decent is better than AYCE of crap.

    (2)
  • Steve T.

At 34 dollars plus tax, it certainly is not cheap. The place is consistently mobbed, and you will likely have to wait a while to both get in, and the on the buffet line itself. The variety of food is good, but the options don't change much day to day. If quantity is what you are after, the buffet here is great, but the quality just isn't there for the price.

    (3)
  • John G.

Borgata Buffet is quite obviously trying to copy Bacchanal in Las Vegas. It sadly falls short in many ways. There are only 3 items in the sushi bar and none of them are truly sushi. The prime rib tastes more like Roast beef. The Asian noodle soup is a random mix of asian ingredients and just plain boring. The only way it's better than Bacchanal is the price, $34.95, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

    (3)
  • Matt G.

Solid place. I ate a lot so for the $30 it's worth it. But don't come here unless you plan to pig out because the food is not the best. However, for the quantity and variety available it's superb.

    (3)
  • Bryan N.

It's ok, a buffet is a buffet. You don't go to a buffet and expect to get quality food, you are going for the quantity. I would say the Borgata Buffet does offer a better/wider selection of foods than most, however they are lacking in the seafood department. I usually go to buffets hoping to find crab legs but they do not have them here. The clams and mussels were an ok substitution. I probably would not spend $30 at this buffet again.

    (3)
  • Awani D.

All the meat, including the meat in the paella was VERY dry. As for seafood, I didn't try the clams, but the mussels were also disgustingly dry. The only thing good I had was was the shrimp and crab ravioli, roasted plantains, and garlic bread. I didn't try the pasta bar, so maybe that's better. Dessert was all around awful (I tried everything)..the gelato tasted like italian ice...if you're into that kind of thing. It's a good thing I didn't pay the $30 for this (my friend had offers for 2 free buffets). And yes, I would only advise coming here if it's 100% free.

    (2)
  • Chris E.

I've been to Borgata numerous times, but not once had I tried the buffet...until now. Recently, I came with a bunch of friends for dinner ($30.95) and Sunday brunch ($27.95) and I think the types of food served at this buffet were pretty much what I expected. Considering that this was the Borgata hotel, I was holding it to a higher standard, so there were some shortcomings for me. First, the buffet seating area is huge! It's quite cavernous and it would be hard for me to believe this place can ever get 100% packed, but then again it's possible since I was here a bit past primetime dinner time. As for the dinner food, like I said, it's pretty much predictable what was going to be served, sushi, lots of meats (chicken, pork chop, steak, fish), vegetables, side dishes (ex: mashed potatoes), rice, noodles and also had a section dedicated to Asian cuisines. For brunch, they served eggs, pancakes, waffles, french toasts, sausage patties, sausages, vegetables and also had 2 omelette stations for custom made omelettes. Honestly, nothing that was served really blew me away, but the food was good still. I thought the steaks, fishes were cooked real well and the brunch foods were also spot on. Considering the hefty price I was paying, I was definitely expecting the high quality and it was a bit of a letdown that there actually wasn't an even wider selection of each type of meat. I've been spoiled by Las Vegas buffets so had to keep that in mind. Anyhow, the desserts were also disappointing as there were small cakes, pastries and a small ice cream section, but nothing to make you go "WOW". A lot of the cakes and pastries were just ordinary. Being that this was Borgata I was expecting a bit more and it's doubtful I'd blow another $30 on this buffet again.

    (3)
  • Michael T.

I thought it was okay. Maybe because we came for lunch so there weren't that many choices compared to other casino buffets that I have been at. Maybe dinner would be better.

Every time I visit Atlantic City I hit the Borgata Buffet for dinner and it never disappoints. I usually have a couple plates of the mussels and clams as my main course and the variety of other options is amazing. The dessert section is also just as sweet and the staff is usually very prompt and pleasant. For the price I feel its well worth it as I go heavy on the seafood and I don't mind paying as its always a great experience. I do like this buffet better than the Harrahs Buffet which has alaskan crab legs but for overall feast-ability I always go back to The Borgata. I just got back from AC yesterday and was sad that the Borgata buffet is closed for the month of Dec. so in January I assume we will see a facelift.

i thought it would have been better =\ i came on a monday evening and i wasn't impressed. there wasn't even an italian section. the gelato / ice cream was pretty good though. i think i would come back but to try the breakfast buffet

I am not one to turn down a trip to a buffet especially with a line out the door. Mmm...lining up to the feed trough. The food was pretty good for buffet fare. I really liked the prime rib and some of the other meat options such as pulled pork. However, the ribs weren't very good. The seafood that was offered was mussels, salmon, clams, and shrimp. There weren't any crab legs, so if that's what you're looking for, I'd head somewhere else. The thing that makes this buffet though is the dessert section. There were plenty of cookies, tarts, and gelato. The buffet is about 31 per person. Definitely makes eating your money's worth that much harder, but you can do it. The service was good and drink refills made it out pretty quickly. One of the more popular spots, the wait was about 40 minutes. Definitely recommend this buffet, but if you're looking for seafood, this probably isn't the place for you.

My Sunday's visit to the Borgata Buffet was my 24th one, give a take a few. I used to go there once a month, but then slowed down on account of my move back to California. Unless you have a Black Borgata player's card, be prepared to wait in line for 15-30 minutes, especially during peak gorging hours. To get a Black Borgata card, you have to be prepared to do at least one of the following: * Move to a prestigious South Jersey/Jersey Shore zip code (please hold your "What Exit?" jokes until you've read the entire review).** * Play 1,000 hours of poker per year. That's right, I said 1,000 hours, or about 3 per day EVERY DAY of the year. * Play slots like a maniac. Since I have no intention of doing any of the above, I usually have to stand in line. Last Sunday, however, there was no line. I walked in around 8:45 pm. Price - $28.95 per person for dinner. Using the comps I've accumulated on my RED Borgata card, I was able to save $8. So, $21 for all-you-can-eat buffet and all you-can-drink soda. Not bad. The buffet selection, however, leaves a lot to be desired. They featured very few "wow" items, especially meat-wise. The prime rib, the only meat at the carving station, was a few clicks past well-done and very dry. The sirloin steak was passable but not exciting. To describe their Asian and Italian selections as "limited" would be an insult to the word "limited." There were a number of selections (chicken, fish, veggies) deep fried beyond all recognition. Why??? All desserts seemed to taste exactly the same. I did enjoy the veal ravioli (with very little veal inside) and truffle cauliflower au gratin, the best thing they offered. The sweet potatoes were pretty good too, as was the broiled salmon. But, again: no WOW factor. A word about service: the waitresses had absolutely no interest in their customers. I mean, I understand that it was almost the end of their shift, and they needed to get home. However, it's not too much to ask of them to actually STOP at the table and listen to my drink order. Instead, she was speed-walking past my table, heard the first half of my drink order, said "sure," and kept on walking. That incident didn't make me feel very special. Why three stars, you ask? Well, first of all, it's a pretty good value for the money. Second of all, all the food I tasted was decent. It wasn't great, but it was above average. I just wish the selection and the service were better. ** If you don't get the reference, you have not experienced New Jersey. You should immediately book a flight to Newark, attend a Devils game and re-watch the first three seasons of The Sopranos. For now, check this out: urbandictionary.com/defi… .

Reminiscent of that other casino that begins with a "B" (namely, the Bellagio in Las Vegas), the Borgata Buffet rocks. The servers are friendly, the food is plentiful and varied, and the line is more than manageable. Definitely get the sweet potatoes/candied yams. After having gone round 1 with a sampler platter of things that looked tasty, I spent round two with a plate that contained (literally) the roasted mushrooms and the sweet potatoes/candied yams. And while you may think that candied yams would only be there because it is November, THINK AGAIN. If you're like me and think that candied yams have their place in one's meal no matter whether it's February or November, then take heart -- that little platter of mushy orange- and marshmallowed-goodness was there back in September. It appears to be a regular menu item. [insert sigh of relief] My only complaint is the rather hefty $29 price tag. From my recollection, the Bellagio's buffet runs a cool $24...and is located in Las Vegas. Thus, while the Borgata's buffet may bring the Bellagio to mind, I trust I am not alone in determining that Atlantic City in no way rivals Las Vegas and, thus, its price tags should reflect such stature (or lack thereof...).

UPDATE, 2013: We have since enjoyed a terrific breakfast here; highly recommended. And the pastry chef has evidently been replaced since my original review below; desserts are now consistently really, really good. The rest of the food is good overall - pizza and mashed potatoes are still fantastic - but has been not quite as good as I recall on recent outings. Still, better than most buffets, absolutely; I'm not changing my 4 stars, but now, I'd probably give it 3.5 if I could. ORIGINAL REVIEW: One of the better casino buffets I've dined in, without question. A great variety, and while some of the fare is hit-or-miss, a lot of it is terrific: as with any buffet, take small portions at first, and go back for more of what you like. Surprisingly good pizza; excellent mashed potatoes and fried items; a good variety of cooked veggies, well prepared and seasoned, not just boiled mushy afterthoughts as at many buffets. I particularly enjoyed some of the prepared chicken and turkey dishes. Desserts were on the whole more attractive than tasty - a disappointment - but some, notably the pecan pie and the biscotti, were excellent. I'm a picky eater, but it would be hard for me to imagine even the pickiest of eaters not finding plenty of pleasing choices here. The room itself, also, is much more attractive than many buffets, and looks more like a full-service restaurant: always a plus. Spotlessly clean, too; used dishes, napkins, etc., were picked up promptly by the efficient servers and bussers, and drinks were refilled quickly when needed. Give it a shot; you pretty much can't be disappointed.

This is the best buffet in Atlantic City, hands down. They have such a great selection of food from Chinese, Japanese (really good sushi), pastas, desserts, deli, vegetables, basically everything! They also have really good gelato.

  • Rachel K.

Good for a buffet, but still pretty average food. The asparagus was the most perfect thing at the buffet - crisp and flavorful. All the pasta was soggy and over dressed in heavy sauces. The shrimp was plentiful, but had certainly been frozen at some point. The New England Clam chowder was nicely seasoned, but a little heavy on the potato. I saved room for dessert and skipped the gelato as the line was too long. The cookies were not spectacular, the canoli was deliciously fresh and the mousse came in strawberry and mint -- innovative, but average tasting. It was fun as a buffet experience, we were seated promptly (thursday night) and the waiter came around regularly to replenish drinks and clear plates. It was a little on the expensive side ($29 not including drinks and tip), so go hungry.

Just a great selection - from sushi, fresh shrimp, scallops, to trout with truffels, roast beef, grilled chicken, broccoli rab, sweet potatoes, muhroom,s ravioli, pasta, fired chicken, chinese dishes, soups, breads, salads, desserts - on and on - -always hot, and well cooked; the Breakfast buffet is also marvlelous - easy to get egg white omlets with spinach -my favorite -

I went here on father's day and despite the hour wait, I have to say i was pleasantly surprised with the selection. There was a nice Asian section (general tso's was so good) although don't bother with the sushi--it's gross and the soy sauce tastes like they added extra sodium. The meat selection is good, too--you can get a steak cooked to order. I also had grilled chicken and the most delicious mushrooms ever. I didn't even make it to one side of the buffet because I was so full after trying out the above. I did however sneak over to the dessert area and snuck a carrot mini cupcake that was delicious, along with a nice cup of coffee. My boyfriend and I felt like we needed someone to roll us out of there after eating way too much! For $30 some dollars you really can't beat the price and it was 100 times better than the buffet we tried at the Trop the day before. If you're going to do a buffet, def come here (just do it after you hit the beach unless you want to look preggers lol).

Above average buffet but gets four stars only for consistency between visits and reasonable quality. Lost a star because there were no crab legs, yet there was both prime rib and sirloin steak. I would go back only because the offerings on the boardwalk are worse.

Best buffet for food i've ever eaten? Yeah! Worst service at a buffet i've ever been? Yeah! Too bad too, it might have gotten a coveted 5 stars. I won't go into too much detail because i see other people have covered it, but we are talking about a buffet here, your not getting 5 star food - your getting a mix of 2-3-4 and rarely 5. You do get some exotic food not seen at lesser buffets and the options seem endless. You won't be able to try all the food because there seems like an endless amount of choices, so please choose carefully. Been here 6 times, would love to go back any time.

Was staying at Harrah's, but heard that their Sunday brunch was great, so I hit it before I went home. For about $28 you have access to anything that you can imagine. Personally I do not get my monies worth, because I am a vegetarian, but there is a lot of good meat there to eat, for those who like to eat meat.

Throughout my trip here, I found myself constantly comparing it to my gold-standard (The Bellagio Buffet). As with any comparison between AC and Las Vegas, it may not be a fair, but Vegas usually wins. In short, the Borgata Buffet does have a few great offerings; however there was way too much filler available (be it traditional fillers like pizza or sub-par attempts at quality food, like their sushi). All-in-all, you expect more for the price-tag, but it's still decent.

    (2)
  • Darryl L.

For something that gets so hyped, the Borgata Buffet definitely fails to deliver. I've been here for dinner after reading all the positive reviews both from yelp and some people I know, but I was left disappointed. All the fish dishes that they had were bland and subpar. The sushi is plain horrifying. None of the dishes really wowed me at all and all tethered between mediocrity and disappointment. If the buffet cost around 18 dollars, then it wouldn't have gotten such a bad review from me. A buffet that cost 30-35 dollars should at least deliver a few outstanding dishes, a feat that proves too daunting for this buffet. Borgata, step up your game. All the people who gave this buffet high ratings all must love mediocre food and must not have a very strong palate. Bottom line is that this place is not doing work.

  • Bill S.

Totally not worth the money. $27 for brunch? really....... The dinner buffet was average nothing compared to Foxwoods, not even in the same ballpark. I wouldn't waste your money for dinner/brunch/lunch whatever they want to call it.

  • A S.

I've been to a few buffets in AC and this one stood out as being better than the others. The food was good and most of it was fresh. The desserts were Ok. The place was clean enough and we will definitely go back.

The buffet at the Borgata is WAY overrated! The breakfast buffet is below average. We got there at 8am (when it opens during the week) and the food was all lukewarm. The coffee throughout the casino is horrible. If you get the buffet for free (comped) it is worth it, but do not pay or you will feel slighted. The Manhattan restaurant is a better choice for breakfast, but not much better.

We came here for a lunch buffet. No crab. No sushi. I'm used to casino buffets with the above. Maybe AC buffets just aren't that good. But I won't be coming back. It was also difficult getting here. We could see the hotel from the Boardwalk, and figured to take a nice walk. As it turns out, the hotel situated itself behind a freeway and without any walkway. wtf? We ran across the highway and walked up the big lawn to where the valets were and walked into the hotel.

This place is on point. A few friends and I went down here after finding out the Harrah's buffet didn't open until 4pm. We were on a quest for crab legs and KNEW Harrah's had them at their buffet. We figured we would be settling for the Borgata's buffet but we were wrong. The Borgata buffet had a whole bunch of offerings and although they don't have crab legs until Sunday, they had more than enough to appease our taste buds. Round 1: salad, mini grilled cheese, mussels, salmon and some battered white fish thing Round 2: a variety of meat from the carving station, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli Round 3: more salmon, mussels, and mashed potatoes Round 4: white rice, General Tso's chicken, green beans Round 5: mini cheese burger, mini grilled cheese, and some pizza Dessert: pear gelato and mango pudding Yes, I fed my fat mouth there! I was very impressed with everything and the dessert was P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L. My lunch buffet only cost $17.90 and I'm pretty sure I ate that amount after Round 1. The staff there is great and I never came back to the table without a full beverage waiting for me. Have no doubt the Borgata buffet is well worth the trip off the strip even if you have to hop on a jitney!

One, if not the best buffet ever in atlantic city. The setting can be describe as 5 star. Black label member can get a presidential treatment. When it come to the food it can only be describe as awesome and the galato ice cream is a prefect way to end every meal. Is a little be pricey, but hey if you are in a casino who really cares about the price away. I recommend brunch is the best part, how can u be wrong after a wild saturday night straight to the buffet and indulge your hang over.

The buffet was ok. There were plenty of choices, but the food was subpar. The wait was really long, but thats normal in AC casinos. It depends what time of day you go. I could have paid less for a Philly buffet and get the same satisfaction. Thought the steaks should have been made to order, as in Harrahs.

Time spent in Atlantic city is not complete without attending at least one buffet! Came here for lunch and the food was relatively standard. The selections included: overly doughy dumplings, classic 'buffet' pizza, deep fried green beans (identical to Friday's), and a whole bunch of other foods. Their carving board selection is slacking, but at lunch time, there usually isn't the best selections of meat. The staff was good. We were there the day of a storm, so they were super understaffed. That being said they still brought us over drinks and refills. I here the dinner service is really amazing, so I'll have to update my review after that. As it stands, this buffet is on par with the others.

I stopped by here the second night of my bachelor party. The first night we had gone to another buffet and this one simply blew the other one out of the water. What I really enjoyed about the buffet was how clean it felt. Beyond that I also really enjoyed the soft shell crabs, sushi and prime rib. They also had a really nice dessert area. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. In my opinion this is probably the best casino buffet in Atlantic City.

This is a very solid three stars for a buffet. Food was good. Some of it was a little on the cold side, but that is expected. The people who sat us seemed a little stressed and a little unorganized. The ambiance was nice however, and extremely clean. And for almost $35 a head you'd expect it to be good! Not dissing it. It's in one of the nicest casinos as well. When you break it down, it's much cheaper and easier than going out for a nice dinner there.

There are many buffets in various casinos in Atlantic City. During my last visit in Atlantic City with my boyfriend, we tried out Borgata Buffet for dinner. The buffet wasn't too expensive - $30 per person. It was huge and spacious. Food was mediocre - I think the quality could be better. I felt since there was a lot of unused space, that space could have been used to store more food. I liked that some of the desserts have a sign or symbol that says "No Sugar Added". That's a nice quality of the buffet. I don't like that there's no restroom at the buffet even with so much space in the buffet. Casino buffets are casino buffets and can't expect five star service.

Very good inexpensive buffet. Other places in the area charge and arm and a leg and the portion sizes are childlike and the prices are through the roof. Go here first, then try the swanky places if you have money like that. ;)

Inexpensive and a lot to choose from. A special treat for a wondering palate. Delish!

Recently tried their breakfast buffet and thought it was great! There were lots of offerings and everything I had was super tasty. They have an omelette station with all the typical add-ins. They had pancakes, French toast and waffles. Not only do they have syrup to top these items but they have fresh whipped cream, mini chocolate chips, bananas foster, pecans and blueberry compote. Waffles with bananas foster topped with some whipped cream was one of the highlights for me. They also offer frittata type eggs, eggs in purgatory, cottage cheese and fruit, hash brown potatoes, biscuits, grits, oatmeal, toppings for the grits and oatmeal, apple strudel, glazed ham, bacon, sausage, sticky buns, mini muffins, croissants and Danish...the list goes on and on! For $17 a person, if you're feeling extra hungry one morning definitely venture over to the buffet!

Had lunch today $19.99, busy but not packed. Steady stream of customers. Great waitress who was quick to remove plates. Everything we tried was delicious, fresh and correct temperature. Highlights were the shrimp salad, pork buns and a shrimp/pasta/asparagus/brie dish that was phenomenal. Great dessert selection including cannoli, chocolate covered pretzels and gelato. Definitely best buffet in Atlantic City.

Borgata buffet is just fine. If you compare AC with Las Vegas quality buffet or scale, you're going to be disappointed. $19.95 for lunch buffet (even on Saturdays) is not a bad deal. They have a carving station. Their meat was tough though. Their salad station was fresh with about 6-7 types of dressings. Their fried food (fish, potato, chicken, and green beans) were all really crisp and hot. My favorite buffet section was the gelato station. Their kind staff serve it from the other side of the counter keeping the dessert station more sanitary. Overall, the buffet is just okay - nothing super special.

  • Shiv C.

Me and some friends went to this buffet a couple of hours before a night out in AC. I've always heard about those amazing Las Vegas buffets, so when I heard this is where we were going, my expectations were high. Boy oh boy was this place a let down. We had to wait in line about 25 minutes to get to the buffet and it cost 33 bucks. Between the 6 of us, we tried almost everything that was there, between the prime rib, fried chicken, risotto, Chinese BBQ ribs, steak, crepes, tiramisu, sushi etc. The only two things that were passable were the General Tso's chicken and the bread pudding. EVERYTHING else was bland, or just plain bad. The sushi was basically inedible. The one positive thing I can say is that the service was good, but its even by buffet standards this food was mediocre at best.

  • Whats On NY ..

There was an abundance of food but the wait for lunch on the weekend was at least half an hour (if you don't have a black card). They had a lot of spacious booths. There was pizza, salad, meatballs, mussels and baked muscles, salmon, pork, roast beef, more fish, Chinese food like stir fry, dumplings, pork buns, veggies and beef pattys. My favorite was the salmon, meatballs and beef pattys. They were juicy. Some of the other food was either too bland or too salty. They had a large assortment of desserts. There was gelato, sorbet, cookies, cannolis, fruit and cakes.

  • Elliot P.

This was awesome! I came here for dinner last night and was blown away with the quality of the food. The prime rib is superb, as is the seafood selection - shrimp (many ways), mussels, and clams. The pizza was surprisingly excellent as well. As I mentioned above, certain items were stupendous, and a lot of other items were very delicious. The Mac n'cheese. The braised meatballs. The general tso's chicken. the shrimp and lobster quesadillas. They had a pasta bar too. The desserts were also delicious - especially the chocolate cannolis, peanut butter chocolate cake, and gelato bar. The only thing about it that wasn't good was the wait to get in. We thought there might be a line, so purposefully headed over a bit early, and were waiting a good 45 minutes + to get a table. Some old guy in front of us threw a fit and demanded his money back and left. It was funny to watch. So yeah, you should get there early to avoid the lines. Unless you're a black card member, then you get VIP access and I think it's only $10. Not sure what you have to do to get a black card, but it probably includes losing a lot of money in the casino. Fortunately for us, they had a promotion where if you sign up for their rewards card, you can get a buy one get one free buffet ticket. So it ended up being a great price, too. But honestly I would come back even if I had to pay full price. It's the only place I've ever been to that could compete with a Vegas buffet. Anyways, liked it here so much that we came back for brunch today. And as you would expect, had a bunch of stuff from last night that was still good or somehow better. I had some more prime rib because I cannot have enough of that! They had smoked salmon, two omelet bars, turkey sausage, waffles, pancakes, french toast, danishes and more. And it was all excellent and fresh. In summary, if I had a last meal on earth kind of thing and I was somehow in AC and would be here.

It's what you expect in a casino buffet...okay food, lots of fat people, and waitresses that leave you alone.

Was here in June for the man's birthday. Grabbed breakfast before we got on the road back home. One word...overwhelming. The omelet station is great. Although, the person serving them was NOT the least bit pleasant. But, I wasn't here for her. The pancakes and French Toast were yummy. The bacon was some of the best I've ever had. Seriously. Lots of options for all types of appetites. I'd return.

45 minute wait to find out half of the tables are empty but management hasn't planned enough waitstaff. THAT is pathetic and enfuriating...

  • Chrom A.

the buffet cost me $36 and $5 for parking. It was a standard buffet with a lot of very ordinary items like salad, corn, rice, fried chicken, chinese food, salmon, roast beef very thinly sliced. The line for entry was long and another line for seating. It is simply not worth the money. It will be better to go to a top notch sit down restaurant for that much money. If you decide to go anyway, say that you are black label (meaning high roller). They do not check. It will cost you less.

  • Pamala S.

My expectations of the Borgota Buffet was fairly high given the luxuriousness of the property. My family and I went there for lunch. The line into the buffet segregates the people with premium casino player cards from everyone else which could be cause for confusion. They did some dishes exceptionally well like the pizza, meatballs and sauce, and sausage. My daughter said the mac and cheese was the best she's ever tasted. Other dishes like the blackened catfish and beer battered cod tasted like they were not cooked with any seasoning. The Chinese-style noodles and General Tso's chicken were mediocre. Although the customer service was great, for the price paid, and given it was the Borgata, I expected more variety and dazzling, delicious dishes. It wasn't even on par with the average buffet in Vegas that's a fraction of the cost.

  • Eddie A.

Stayed here for a long anniversary weekend! Missed breakfast so we figured we'd have lunch at the buffet. It is your average run of the mill buffet. Some lunch items like sandwiches or less dinner food would be good. Average food, a little pricey for the quality..

  • Annie K.

I'm not usually a fan of buffets because I get full after 2-3 plates and feel like I don't get my money's worth... but luckily I gamble at Borgata enough to receive vouchers and/or comp to their buffet! How can you say no to a free meal? if you're a black card member, you pretty much get to skip the line. Their food is fresh for the most part, but the selection is limited. I guess I was expecting a little more (I know Atlantic City isn't Las Vegas). The staff is friendly too. However, I don't think I would dine here if it wasn't comped because I would rather indulge at the noodle bar (see my review on it).

  • Sylvania W.

$30 bucks/per person are quiet pricey for family of 4 like us. But trust me you will get the best of the best food around here at Atlantic city. After all we are on vacation so YOLO. Spend today, save tomorrow. Everything are amazing start from appertizer, entree, and awesome desserts. Love it.

What are you doing here? What are you looking for? Are you really curious about the quality of this place? It's a buffet. At a casino. In Atlantic City. (In New Jersey.) The quality is slightly better than college cafeteria. And it's cheap for a massive - nay, unlimited - quantity of food. Ask yourself this: Do I like frozen dumplings? Do I like all my food cooked well done? Is it extra awesome when I can sample more than one cuisine at a meal? And especially awesome if those cuisines are Asian-ish, Italian-ish, and Mexican-ish? If you scored "yes" to any of those questions, knock yaself out. Otherwise... seriously, what are you doing here?

  • Wai H.

i've been to this place a dozen times or so. for the most part, it's a good buffet. better then others. there is alot of food to choose from, especially if your doing the dinner buff. If the food is too dry, just tell them or wait for the next batch because the quality does change. Deserts are plenty as well so you can just sit relax and enjoy. It's time away from the tables. I always do the cold shrimps, fish, prime rib. a bit of the chinese food. oh one thing to mention, they might as well remove all the stuff they call sushi, it's just horrible. 4stars. most of the food they make is very good and service is great.

the best all you can eat buffet i think in atlantic city. if we go down there again, this is the place to pig out. it's clean, new and modern.

    (4)
  • Allison L.

I loved this place. I would rather pay a bit more for a buffet and eat here than eat the food that has sat out for hours at other buffets. The salad bar is the only limited course. Everything else was excellent and they put everything out in small enough portions that it is always fresh. I also like that the desserts are small so you can eat a few and not have to split it with someone else.

    (4)
  • Y S.

I went for the Sunday brunch and was disappointed not to find any prime rib or crab legs (something you would expect to find if you're paying over $25). I would compare the buffet to a mid-tier Vegas hotel. This place is definitely no Bellagio.

    (3)
  • Lauren R.

The Borgata buffet is easily the best in AC and the only one that compares to the high-end buffets in Vegas. Its a pretty good value and the quality definitely is worth it, especially compared to the Golden Corral food you'll find for a few dollars less at the other casinos. For the best bang for your buck, go at lunch time when the food is still great, but the lines are gone and the bill is lower. Food is fresh and as close to gourmet as you're going to get producing big vats of assembly line dishes. You'll want to try everything but save room for dessert - its the best part.

I love the Borgata buffet. Pretty pricey, but I feel it's worth the price, especially in Atlantic City. Great food selection, great presentation of food. Best buffet in AC for sure.

    (4)
  • Renato S.

prime rib was memorable, along with the gelato there. I would call it the best buffet in AC in terms of food and layout. Price holds me back from a 5 though.

  • Frank R.

Extraordinary buffet that is light on salads and heavy on great food. We had the $28.95 dinner buffet with 10 people. They accommodated us...and we all enjoyed everything from soft shelled crabs to sushi, from gelato to grilled cheese. Really an amazing deal with great food that you don't typically find at a buffet. Well worth every penny in a casino that is the crown jewel of AC.

    (4)
  • Dave R.

Definitely the best buffet in AC. It is a little bit pricey at $33 but that keeps out those sleezy buffet people who come prepared with their stretchy pants and sneakers stuffing their face trying to get their moneys worth. Everything is fresh and hot with a pretty large variety. Excellent service and very clean as you would expect being its the Borgata. Alhough it is the best buffet ive been to, it only gets 4 stars because well, its a buffet...

  • Xia W.

For the $31 price tag per person I was expecting better selection, better made food and better chefs! Clearly the chefs were not properly trained as they didn't put out amazing dishes, they were just bland taste wise and aesthetic wise. It brought back memories of high school setting and cafeteria food. The 'chefs' if you call them chefs were primarily low wage servers who probably never got received proper culinary training (young females, people of color willing to work for minimal wage) - no disrespect here but these people are NOT genuine chefs and shouldn't be the ones making the dishes for a buffet that is supposed to be known as the best in all of Atlantic City!! No wonder no dishes really turned out amazing, just Ok average. It is all about cheap labor in the kitchen and that is a shame! The Chinese food section and the Japanese section was a joke! I am Chinese and wouldn't hire these people for my kitchen for free!

I went cause of the reviews on this site. I was pumped enough to take the wife on our 19th anniversary. What a let down. The place is beautiful and the service is fine. But we waited 30 minutes on line during non-peak hours cause the seating staff were so inefficient. The food was okay. That's the whole point. It was SO forgettable. The seafood selection was limited and boring. Everything else, you can get at same level quality at a higher end diner. I paid for the scenery. That's about it.

  • Gary C.

If you are confused as to what buffet to go to in A/C. Don't waste your time looking and asking. The Borgata wins hands down! Has the best variety, freshness, and diversity of ANY buffet. I believe it's the best buffet I've ever had. If you ever see a show at the Music Box, Hit the buffet first, then do the show, then for a real fun time afterwards, stop by the bar and do some simulcast horse racing. It's always fun at the Borgata. a two dollar bet will get you coupons for top shelf drinks at the bar! The people are always fun.

  • Yeni H.

the price reflects the variety of food they serve. $15 for breakfast and all you get was american-style breakfast and a good range of french pastry. that's it! food tasted average. my sis actually came running back to our seat to get some change to tip the omelette chef because she said the people in front of her were tipping him. whatever. how i miss the buffett at wynn LV :(

some one please tell me of another place on the East coast where I can get all you can eat roast pork WITH ALL U CAN EAT CRISPY PORK BELLY!!! I had so many well prepared dishes at this buffet so many I could hardly believe I was at a buffet...sooooo worth the $35 per person, very good/professional wait staff highly attentive..dessert bar was buffet-ish but little else was. Overall a really good experience...

  • Wendy C.

The quality of the food is not as great as the Bellagio Buffet, but it's definitely one of the best I've had in all of Atlantic City. The seafood selection could have been better. My heart was set on crab legs, but unfortunately they weren't available until Sunday. I'll deduct 1 star for that!

  • Stace C.

I'm not a buffet fan in general but my boyfriend got complementary Borgata buffets during our stay so we tried their lunch. Needless to say of the buffets I've had the best were in Las Vegas. They should take some notes. The only redeeming point is their ice cream sorbet dessert station and the good service their staff provides. The food was mediocre at bast. I would not choose to eat at the Borgata Buffet if we were not comp'd. When there are so many other better choices in the hotel, I would recommend to eat at Bobby Flays or Izakaya than waste a meal here.

    (2)
  • David N.

I guess I was expecting more. I know Atlantic City is no Las Vegas, but they have higher quality buffets here in Houston. The price was high and the wait was long for meh food. Skip it!

Long line on a Saturday night moved rather quickly and we were seated in about 15 mins. Plenty of options, and I do mean pleeeenty. For $33 you get hundreds of items to choose from, but the meat quality left a lot to be desired. Still, you're bound to find at least a few things that don't disappoint, so bring your appetite..and save room for dessert!! The good: Cocktail shrimp, fried shrimp, pappardelle with chicken, ravioli, sautéed mushrooms, kimchi fried rice, chocolate mouse dessert and DEFINITELY go for the gelato! The bad: Muscles (very tough and rubbery), lamb chops (extremely dry), most of the Chinese food section (greasy mess), sushi (too much rice and not enough fish), salmon cakes.

  • Vincent D.

Drove here from our hotel to check out the buffet. I expected the typical casino buffet with bland mediocre food. This place, however, was better than I thought. Food was decent and the service was also good.

  • Ariel E.

Maybe it was because I came for lunch This was a serious let down. The salads were very limited; olive mix, fruit, cole slaw, fennel and roasted portobello (oily and soggy). On to the Italian food; mussels were dry and over cooked. I was looking forward to the mushroom ravioli mentioned in other reviews. They did not that but did have a very delicious lobster and shrimp ravioli in a cream sauce. I got seconds. Also, the mac & cheese was ok, but not outstanding. The salmon was very dry, but the spice rub used was nice. Cauliflower and other assorted veggies were also good. I don't eat meat, so I did not try the lone piece of red meat at the carving station. NO SEAFOOD /SUSHI section. NO CRAB Dessert was stale and below average.

I was just really impressed with the Borgata Buffet from both a dinner and breakfast perspective, great atmosphere, great location, great price, great food. My friend and I stayed at The Water Club at the Borgata for a few days, so this was an easy and convenient location for us to eat at, but even if we stayed somewhere else, I'd come back to the Borgata Buffet. The place is beautiful, good lighting and good setup for the stations. Price wise, I believe it was around $30/person for dinner and around $15/person for breakfast. Considering how much your going to spend in another Atlantic City restaurant, these are pretty good deals. In terms of food, the quality here is fantastic. For dinner, I stuck to really some of the seafood, the carving station and a few other things here and there. The prime rib was very flavorful, as well as the mashed potatoes. I threw a bunch of other little things on my plate I can't remember now, but it all was very flavorful and fresh. Nothing I saw was a choice between the "yellow stuff and blue stuff". I didn't try it, but my friend loved the pasta station where they made it right in front of you, something I wish I tried. In terms of breakfast foods, that I pretty much had everything you could have possibly eaten. They have an omelet station there which was excellent, as well as they made fresh waffles with every possible topping you could want. And of course they had everything you could want from fresh fruit, to bagels to bacon and eggs to zeppollis, which was a delicious, sugary way to start my day. Bottom line was that they had lots of options, and the food quality on everything was very high. Even if you aren't staying at the Borgata, and even if you aren't into buffets, the Borgata Buffet is a must if your in Atlantic City. Great quality food, lots of options, and for the price you can't go wrong. All pros here. Food (B+), Pricing (C+), Atmosphere (A-), Service (B+)

Not sure if it was because this place was overhyped, but I thought the food here was terrible. The selection wasn't that great during the lunch hours. Most of the casino buffets that I have been to have a good variety of seafood (which I love), but this one only had salmon. Some reviews claim that they had sushi; maybe I just came at the wrong time or it's only available during dinnertime, but no sushi makes me very unhappy... The desserts were alright; probably the only good thing about my lunch that day. The cakes and gelato were decent, but try to avoid the cappucino gelato. The wait was pretty ridiculous, too. I definitely don't think it was worth waiting 45 minutes for the mediocre food at this establishment. I'll definitely be trying another buffet next time I'm in Atlantic City.

    (1)
  • Constance C.

Looong wait. I know that's a good sign, but I never like long waits. I really liked the cheesecakes (so soft and creamy) and the baklava. They had a huge selection of desserts. I don't eat much, so it's hard for me to rate a buffet, because I am avoiding pastas in order not to fill up too fast. I wish this place had more seafood selection. They had mussels and clams, and some fish. Some which were dry. Their sushi bar had no real sushi (california rolls and shrimp tempura). They had a good Asian soup section, however! I feel like I could have enjoyed myself more with $30.

  • Vittoria L.

Fooooood coma! Watch out! When I'm being treated to a place like this, I can't help but stuff myself. It seems like most buffets are more about the quantity than about the quality. But this isn't your typical buffet ... each item I tried was soooo goood. A few of my favorite things in order: Salmon wrapped in Banana Leaf - AHHHHHH. Shrimp Cocktail - so fresh!! I think I ate 100 of these. Lobster Ravioli Roast Beef Prime Rib Macaroni & Cheese Also the clams, mussels, pizza, pasta, asian food, and sushi were yum. They had a wide selection of delectable desserts too! Lots of tarts, little cakes, and gelato! I personally liked the eclairs, cheesecake, and the coconut cream puffs. Oh note: A party of ten or more = 12% gratuity added. Waitress was friendly and attentive. The decor is beautiful. One small downside: there aren't any restrooms in the buffet, so you have to go outside. Would I come here again? Yes. Is it worth the price? Yes!! Come hungry and it'll be worth it.

    (5)
  • Sophia L.

Food is decent. Horrible service. Our party had 11 people. The waitress did not bother to pick up used plates and only came by once for drink refill. I guess she figured that we had to pay gratuities up front so she figures she can earn money to do nothing! Rude rude service!

    (2)
  • Liza M.

The food options are endless! I came on a Sunday AM and the line was long but it went by quickly so do not fear a long line! The waitress came within a few minutes of us being sat down and took our drink orders in a timely manner. I had to walk around one time to really get an idea of all they had to offer and what I wanted to eat. From salads, to soups, meats, Asian fusion, all-American like hamburgers and hot dogs, the choices are endless! I decided to try a little bit of all I could so I made sure I did not over fill my plate and went back for a second plate. Can't say I did not like anything from this buffet!

    (4)
  • Adnan M.

Massive line here first of all ... And second thing is they don't have enough veggie options ...seafood options were ok as i heard about it and i would say it was ok not very good or great...

I went for brunch on Sunday and I went early so there wasn't much of a crowd and it was excellent! This is not any Coach House Restaurant or diner food.. this is real authentic good chef cooking some good food. I went first for the breakfast part and got delicious pancakes and French toast and waffles and fruit and eggs and bagels they were all fresh and tasty... they have all different kind of stuff you could eat for the morning so that was a good selection and there was meat which I was not interested in. I ordered orange juice with cranberry juice mixed in it and it was excellent quality possibly Tropicana. Or maybe even fresh squeezed. Even though it was the morning I decided to go ahead and try the pasta which was excellent and I can't stress that; some shrimp cocktail and other little plates (tapas) that they were making with cat fish or chicken and goat cheese. I was so stuffed I couldn't even try all of the delish desserts... have to go back next time! I do have to say I'm very partial to buffet for breakfast I love it!

  • Chris G.

My biggest complaint was there was no salad bar. So for you veggie haters, here's ur spot! For u veggie lovers, tomatoes are the extent of it unless ur at the omelet station. Three stars are for the food's taste! The eggs in purgatory were really good. No options for a healthy meal at $16/head loses two stars for me.

  • Angie T.

I'm pretty sure this place is even more fantastic during dinner time but we came for lunch and waited for about 30 min before being seated but it was well worth the wait! The food was amazing and plentiful. The service was surprisingly nice for a buffet. The only things I found annoying was that the carving station only had one guy manning a two section carving station leaving the line a little bit long. But my favorite part of it all? The desserts. Phenomenal. And who could turn down a gelato station?!

  • Patty L.

My boyfriend and I had the dinner buffet on 5-26-14. We both really enjoyed the food and service here. The foods were varied and fresh. I ate A LOT and it was all very tasty and well-cooked. My favorites were the coconut rice, salmon wellington, steamed mussels, cheesecake, and the coconut macaroon cookies. I also liked the shrimp and crab ravioli. I had never tried salmon wellington, but it was amazing. It was so yummy that I went back for seconds : ) The food server for that dish was really nice as well. My boyfriend really like the pizza, butter carrot, ribs, and broccoli. He liked other dishes, but I don't recall which ones. He did not have dessert. Our only complaint was that the fried chicken was bland. Everything else was really yummy and I talked about how delicious it was all night lol. The price wass not bad for the amount of high quality food that they offer. The price includes a drink as well (non-alcoholic). Also, the service is really good and our server was very attentive. Although we stayed at the Borgata hotel that night and the next night, we had dinner reservations in Cape May the next night. Otherwise we would've gone to the buffet again. Highly recommended!

If i could, i would give them a 3.5. Dinner buffet costs 30.95 pp. if you have a borgata rewards card sometimes they offer you two free complimentary buffet per a month (I believe). They offer many types of food like Asian, Japanese, American, Italian etc. there was prime rib, clams, mussels, tempura soft shell crab, etc. lots of variety to choose from. Drinks like orange juice, grapefruit, coffee and tea are included in the buffet fee with no extra charges. My favorite Is there dessert section gelatos and mini cheesecake. One thing i dislike was that some of the food were too salty and everytime I go there, there's barely any clams left. Also, the staffs takes forever to come by to collect our dishes.

  • Joseph C.

As far as a buffet goes I think the Borgata Buffet is a perfect balance. Not so expensive that you wouldn't go regularly but a large enough selection and high enough quality that you're impressed. Really I enjoyed pretty much everything on my plate. For only $10 more than the Atlantic Club you get 4 times the amount of food and a much better quality.

Above average buffet food - definitely the best in AC. The meats are a bit dry (e.g. Prime Rib and Sirloin). If they have lobster ravioli (usually seafood ravioli though), it's great. Mac n Cheese is watery - reminds me of Kraft. They have always had Cheddar Bay Biscuits (Red Lobster style) which are great. Gelato is pretty good. The rest of the food is again - above average. What can you expect from a buffet. I still manage to fill myself up on 3-4 plates (including desert). But then again ... I pack it in! Dinner prices are high, but I pay with comps from my Borgata Rewards Card (hint: get one if you gamble at all). Free rooms - free food!

Buffets are hard to rate in general and this one is no exception. Overall a great experience and value. Lot's of choices with fresh food coming out constantly. I was sad there are no crab legs but lots of choices! The dessert wasn't the best but a ton of choices. Worth the $30.

This is by far the BEST BUFFET in ATLANTIC CITY! Okay, I understand there aren't many buffets left in AC, but out of those remaining, this is a solid choice. I've been to this place a dozen times and it's never dissapointed me. If you're a regular customer like me (Red Label), it's $31.95 for Saturday night dinner and $10 (Black Label) for those high rollers. The buffet selection is great. There's shrimp, mussels, clams, fried chicken, vegetables, prime rib, salmon, chinese dishes, sushi, italian pasta, steak, chicken, fruit, gelato, and desserts in no particular order. It's great for large groups when you all can't decide on one type of cuisine or restaurant. I was just there this past weekend and I can't wait to go back! -- Check out my other reviews at nextstopdc.blogspot.com

This is the best buffet in AC. It's $31pp including soda and their food selection is excellent. They have devined, clean, tail-on shrimp cocktail with all the accouterments, fish, carving stations, Asian station, and an impressive dessert bar, to name a few. I find this buffet to be cleaner than most and keeps up with the gold standard that Borgata sets. I don't really like buffets but if you want to try an AC buffet, this is the one.

I was here for a weekend birthday lunch and was not at all disappointed. Having tried other AC casinos' restaurants/buffets, this was definitely an A+ in my book. The price is pretty good for lunch and dinner and if you can eat wisely, you should have no problem getting your money's worth. The variety is as you would expect with many different flavors--classic american, italian, [american] chinese, mexican, etc. Seafood was plentiful and so were the steaks. The desserts could have been a little better, but that's not what people go to a buffet for, right? All in all, a great dining experience and I will probably return within the next few months for another feast!

So i was in AC and tossed up about which buffet to go to. I heard great things about the buffet at the Palms but the Borgata kept coming up number one with great reviews! I was hoping to be able to give it 5 stars but 4 is what I came up with! The food was good with an ok variety! The desserts we're the best to me! I think because of the GREAT reviews my expectations were a little too high! I would go again!

For dinner, on the 4th of July holiday, it was $30 per person. I'm not a fan of buffets, but this was alright. There was an Italian section and Chinese section and then a section for various meats and fishes and of course desserts. I don't know if it was because of the holiday, but we waited in line for 45 minutes. It took a while but by the look of the line that wrapped around the room, we thought it would be a 3 hour wait. Why we were willing to wait for that I don't know. Anyway, once we got in, it went smoothly. My favorite was the macaroni and cheese, but the mussels, prime rib, clams, salmon, and snapper was also pretty good. Some of the meat was dry or not tender like the ribs or sirloin steak. I avoided the Chinese food since it looked greasy and the sushi was just California rolls (and yet they managed to mess that up). There are no bathrooms directly in the restaurant, but there is one down the hall, in the casino. No major complaints. The price was fair, the food was decent and the buffet was comfortable. I'm just not willing to wait that long so... Not doing that again, but if I happen to go back to the Borgata and the line is short, I would go back.

Went for the brunch buffet and was told that the Borgata Buffett is one of the best ones in AC. Now, I haven't been to any other buffets in AC and maybe I've been spoiled by Vegas buffets but this was really not that good. The food was just all pretty meh. Yes they had prime rib but it wasn't great. The mussels were TERRIBLE. Like inedible. I put one in my mouth and tried to chew it and immediately spit it out. I don't know why they were so bad but they were. Stay away from them. Our service was good, at least.

I'm not sure where the good reviews came from, I love the casino but this buffet is terrible. We went there Saturday night around 815, didn't get seated till a little past 9. $30 plus tax per person, on the pricy side but usually if it's a good buffet with good seafood it's worth it, but it's not the case here. The selection for food I thought was very limited, staff was extremely slow and rude, and a lot of the food were overlooked. Clams were just soaked in grease and butter, their sirloin was well beyond well-done to a point where it was too hard to chew, fried chicken was soggy and had no flavor, Manhattan clam chowder was way too salty, if this buffet was below $15 like most buffets are, I wouldn't complain, but it was more than $30, there are better buffets in AC, I would pay a little extra to hit up waterfront for sure, this is not worth your money.

All you can eat for about $30. They had a decent variety of food, but the quality was not very good. Most of the meat and seafood were dry, but some pieces were succulent. Be sure to use the sauces. They also have a small sushi station and a pasta bar -- neither of which I tried. The dessert station was the best. They continued baking different varieties of cakes and desserts throughout the evening, so be sure to check the desserts every now and then for different flavors. The gelato and sorbet was very good. As for the setting, it was nice. comfortable seating at booths or tables. Servers were nice. Only thing is there might be a good wait depending on when you get there.

I'm not a buffet kinda girl, unless we are talking about Warren. The man is a genius! This is really the only buffet I will eat at and it's really worth it. I have now been to every sitting, weekday breakfast, weekday lunch, weekday and weekend dinner and sunday brunch. Lunch is still my absolute favorite, with brunch following a close second. Lunch has the tiny desserts and lots of choices of both lunch-y and dinner-y entrees. My favorite is when it's taco day ( generally a tuesday or wednesday). It's like taco day in grade school, but the ante is upped. Pulled seasoned chicken, warm tortillas, fresh toppings...you get the idea. I was a little disappointed today at brunch. This was the first time we had stopped in for brunch and the tiny desserts were not part of the offerings. They have all the cookies, macaroons and gelatto is available. Where the desserts are is an omelette station, but they could make one an omelette station and the other desserts? I wasn't too crushed. What I loved at brunch was that they offered the mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes with marshmallows ala thanksgiving. Your like why is she raving about mashed potatoes. They are easily the best. Seriously. The sweet potatoes are a leetle too sweet, but they are nice to sample on a cold april morning. I was really impressed with the grilled steaks. They were cooked too medium perfection. I'm also a fan of the chicken noodle soup, I think I have waxed poetic about it prior, but it's good. Chunks of carrots, beautiful pieces of white chicken and a broth that's not too salty. There is a lox bar for making a gorgeous bagel, complete from capers to whitefish. I also love that they offer several kinds of veggies. I'm a big fan of the broccoli, steamed with garlic and sun dried tomatoes. Its perfectly al dente and I could seriously eat a plate of it. The asparagus is a little too thick, but if you poke about you might find some skinny pieces. We also had a great waitress who didn't flinch when I ordered two waters, two hot teas, a cranberry juice and a coke. She was sweet and great about clearing plates as well. We arrived at noon on a rainy sunday, we had a to wait a few minutes, but nothing crazy. I would definitely return for brunch, but would not make that the focus of the trip down.

Dang there was a long line for the Borgata Buffet. We went right around dinner time, so this made sense, but then when we finally got to the front of the line, we understood why there was such a long delay. The lines become two separate lines when you get to the front. So naturally a group from one line gets seated and then a group from the other line gets seated, but of course since there are various sizes of groups, going one by one doesn't always work. That being said there were around 4 employees designating waiters with the accompanying tables to the people. I don't think there needed to be this many people, and I think they ended up confusing each other, so the whole process was going slower. Also in front of me on the line was a family of 5 and there was another family of 5 on the other line. Both those families got seated and then it was my group of four on our line and then on the other line was a pair waiting to be seated. I understood when the pair got seated before my group because there was probably a table for two people that had opened, but then the employees kept taking pulling pairs from that other line and were completely ignoring the pair of people behind my family. I don't understand why this complicated system of writing long variables on the receipts and acting like there was some grand orchestra of a plan being conducted was needed because it was a slow system that made people irritable and there was almost no point of having to wait on a line. What made even less sense were that there were so many empty tables right next to me on the line, that weren't being filled because everything was getting jumbled up. Borgata you should either come up with a new, smoother system or transition to some computerized seating system that only one person needs to oversee. The food was standard of a buffet. There was seafood section with clams and other things, a pasta bar, chinese dishes (typical chicken and beef dishes and also wonton soup and another type of soup), sushi (shrimp tempura roll, avocado roll, and california rolls), a lot of people were getting the steak, and the dessert bar was fully stocked as well with an assortment of cakes, pie, brownies, and sorbet. I think Borgata is the best stocked buffet out of the ones in AC. Obviously some dishes were better than others, but I am positive that for anyone that comes here they will at least find a few that they really like! However, there aren't that many veggie options~ so vegetarians be wary!

I'm still full! Great buffet!! The line to get in was not long and the price was reasonable. They have an asian station (general tsos, beef and vegetebles, etc), a salad bar, meat carving stations, sushi, fried chicken/shrimp/mac and cheese, a pasta bar and a dessert station. The highlights are as follows: Mac and cheese (tastes like kraft but a step up) Mushroom ravioli (delish!) Meatballs in tomato sauce Sushi (very rice-y but good) Dessert: Chocolate canoli Mini cheesecake Mini cupcake I would definitely come back!!

After reading the reviews, we decided to try the buffet here because it was supposed to be the best buffet in Atlantic City. If this is the best buffet then I don't want to see the other ones! It was $20 a person for lunch, dinner is $32. We went for the lunch buffet and there was not much selection, just a lot of basic choices. The food was cold and a lot of it was just put out, with no food taken out of it yet. We read there was lamb and prime rib and seafood, but there was no lamb, no prime rib, and only a little seafood (undercooked salmon and fried fish). The desserts were too small, stale, and not good variety. The "cheesecake" was a tiny little cup with something in it that was not actually a cheesecake. The service was good, but nothing extra special.

Pretty good for a buffet -- good in price and food FOOD: - amazing mushroom ravioli (the pasta selection is always good) - stay away from the meats (they're tough and chewy) - the sushi has way too much rice and is crappy - the chinese/asian fare was good, but why would you waste precious stomach space on cheap food - shrimp and oysters were fresh and good - sweet potato casserole was good - paella was pretty bomb (but of course not as good as an authentic tapas/spanish restaurant) DESSERTS: - chocolate mouse was amazing (they put tangarines on the bottom that compliment the mouse perfectly) - the gelato was a-okay - cheesecake was pretty good, a bit too dense - the pecan pie was amazing - you could skip the pies (apple, blueberry, etc) - my friend said the brownie pan was good (i personally didn't have any) - the bread pudding was alright OVERALL: for the price and food selection -- I would definitely come back here
